Not sure.. It really shouldn't be that quick. But hey, most STBs got updated without any warnings.. Perhaps Farsight73 can try and report back.

yeah...I remember was able to download...but that was long time ago...havent played much with browser since then...

Well guess who decided to update itself upon power on... It does update with warnings..

i use kodi youtube, another apk will be redundant

Need your approval only will start updating or a forced update?
Your downloaded apps are still intact right?

Nope.. Didn't ask for my approval. it has been in standby mode (2 red lights) since last night. Woke it up from standby (2 green lights) and it immediately started downloading the update. Zero user interaction needed from start till finish. So, if i left it on overnight, wouldn't have found out if it was upgrading. Would turn on the TV, only to find out it was upgraded.

Prior to the update, I didn't install any third-party apps.. If you remember from my earlier post, the Play Store was blocked from connecting and the stock browser didn't allow downloads..

That's very sad, I checked last weekend and my update server was empty... I didn't even connect to any HyppTV server, I guess I will be safe from this update.

Anyone know how to get the iFlix app at the TV box working? If I use my computer browser or Ipad iFlix app, it will auto detect the Unifi line and "auto login" without the need to key in userID and password. But using the iFlix downloaded from Playstore, it will prompt the login page to key in userID and password. Any place to retrieve the login credential?

It will be much more convenient to watch the free iFlix within the TV box itself. Thank you.

The latest update for iFlix no longer works for this box. So, there is no way to use it anymore, at least at this time.

Luckily I remove the update link from the URL. phewwww

If your unit has been updated with PlayStore removed, I'm sorry to say there's no way to sideload the app......for now

You can if you have ES File Explorer or similar File Manager installed in your box.
However if you have this file manager, you don't need Play Store anymore.

Easy peasy. I removed mine long time ago. However, I don't use it for HyppTV and never connected to HyppTV server so I don't think mine will be prompted.

If not using HyppTV should be OK I supposed? Then, it will not be connected their server and won't trigger them.

if you delete the update server it wont update... my box dont update as well. i didn't delete the server but it havent update at all... maybe because i did not connect the box directly to port but using wifi? dont have a clue.
