mine still under waranty. TM give me the paswd to reset. but im not dare to do it as TM said the waranty will void if anything happened after reset.

adb sideload.. but i would not waste any time on it. spend little bit of your dime on more superior box if u wanna use it for other purposes (kodi, netflix etc..). Hypptv box is good enough as it is for watching hypptv , iflix , viu...

Same thing with mine...Playstore no connection, browser says can't download and somehow managed to download, but can access it. The hypptv box is even not recognised in playstore list of devices.... Left only resetting , But since I got another device...I give up already haha

Can connect to WiFi and browse the Internet using the pre-installed browser app..But beyond that.. For easy access, it's limited.

I tried mine last nite, everything still works. Can connect to playstore can do live tv streaming, youtube also no problem. I also tried downloading from 3rd party market apps (shafa and aptoide) also okay.
Not sure if they will block in the future.

If you remove the Update Address or change it, then the unit won't update to the latest firmware and enforce those restriction policy.

Good for you.. Now it's up to you to disable the update feature or not. Like Keatsan mentioned.

I see, okay. I think I have already disable the update. Just keep the box at the current state should be okay, at least everything still working

If you're like me saving space by disabled google playstore and only installed the above apps, you can have 1 GB left after installing astro on the go. And since you dont have playstore, get the apk from below link and install using ES explorer

Thanks a lot! My sis just WhatsApp-ed me that she cannot watch AOTG using white box as it requires update and asked me to help sideloading it when I go to her house this Sunday. I wanted to search one and you shared now.

Oh ya, the white box still comes with Play Store. I think update has been disabled.

AOTG cannot be updated using Google Play Store because of device incompatibility, so must sideload.

Yes go to family house or siblings house and pull out the smart card and snap the number with your phone and put it back.

Once you registered your own Astro id (free) link to this card number and walla you have the channels they're subscribing on your AOTG app.

Yes, and you will still need their IC number and name though when linking.
Since I'm working and living alone in PJ, so I just use my family's Astro account.
