a little effort or hassle if you want to get a good benefit card, ain't so?

instead of some people just whining about branch slow in processing or slow in approving their card, come on people, it takes an effort to get something done fast instead of complaining this and that

Last time I applied in MidValley branch, quite fast also. This branch open in Sunday, when my wife busy shopping, I 'disappear' awhile goto HLB apply this card, then supporting doc I email to them in Sunday night. icon_idea.gif

This Hong Leong Bank service is kinda bad.

I applied on July 16th, approved one week later.

Haven't received the card till now. Called CS, he said it has been sent out through NORMAL post.

I was like WAT? Normal post? Not even registered? What about lost credit card and fraud and etc?

All my others credit card were at least sent by POSLAJU. This Hong Leong bank wanna save cost till like this....

Luckily mine was collected at the nearest branch... seriously I suspect postman from pos malaysia is highly unreliable.. I have mails and statements received only after 1 month of posting date.. it's like 2 ~ 3 weeks never receive anything and suddenly receiving whole stack of snail mails..

I guess the card type doesn't matter. It should be the same across the bank. hmm.gif

Yes, only the 4 pharmacy. No other pharmacy. Same goes to grocerries.

It goes by MCC code instead of merchant-specific. For groceries, MCC 5411.

Not sure about pharmacies though, someone may try at private pharmacies and see.

Oops, sorry I mixed up with Citibank CB. Grocerries is based on merchant code. Only pharmacy applicable for 4 pharmacy as stated.

Guys, quick clarification on two things. Sorry if they are being asked gazillions of times before. blush.gif

Swipe 10xRM 50 can be on the same day, same merchant? And the ten swipes can be anything right, doesn't restrict to the categories I choose, am I right?

Thanks!

10x swipe only from the 3 categories.... mobile and 2 u choose..... you should (not certain) to be able to do it on one day though probably not from the same merchant..... people have been splitting the utility bills in RM50 segments

The 10 times could be of any categories. But the rebate is given only for the 2 chosen and bonus - Mobile categories.

Sharing my experience, I paid Maxis (at kiosk) RM50 for the most 6 times in 1 day. For the 7th time, the transaction was declined.

Does it count as 7x transactions? Usually I do it once every 2-3 days, RM50 at one time. Using MaxisPay so not too much of hassle compared to kiosk payment.
