The final week I spent 3x but didnt get any cash back for my dining on Sunday (under Dining category as I get 10% CB). Weird.... Can complain ah?

Noticed that the transaction I swiped in Jaya Grocer Mutiara Tropicana for TnG reload has no "Groceries" tag, is it because I didnt select Groceries as one of the rebate category? Anyone seen that before?

Dining and Petrol. So in this case it will only show Mobile, Dining and Petrol. Thanks.

Anyone tried changing the category of cashback before? How long do they take to do it (until the SMS notification was sent)? Think of changing it but not sure 2 days is enough or not (to be effective in August)..

As per CS information, change of category for cashback will be effective next month if it's performed before 25th of the month, i.e. 25 July will be effective starting Aug, 30 July will only be effective starting Sept.

It goes by MCC code instead of merchant-specific. For groceries, MCC 5411.

Not sure about pharmacies though, someone may try at private pharmacies and see.

Does it count as 7x transactions? Usually I do it once every 2-3 days, RM50 at one time. Using MaxisPay so not too much of hassle compared to kiosk payment.

I just received my statement and found that Sushi Zanmai was not tagged as Dining under the Category column (I selected Petrol & Dining as my category, but requested to change it end July to Petrol & Grocery and effective Sept - from the SMS I received). Called the CS but they say it's still under Dining. But it's weird that it didnt show up as Dining (MCC 5814). The CS representative told me that sometimes the system may not capture.

What do you mean? I've heard about your story related to groceries.

This is the first time I encounter this. My previous transaction at the same merchant are captured as Dining.

I called CS on 29th July. It's updated in my statement. Screenshot:

I changed from Dining to Groceries. Technically this month should still be Petrol and Dining.



Thanks for the info. I've checked with the CS and she confirmed my transaction is under MCC5814 for Dining. Just weird that it didnt capture as Dining in my statement. Perhaps I should wait till 28 Sept to see if it's credited into my account.

When I called to check, the MCC she told me it's under Dining. Wonder if the MCC mentioned refers to my transaction or merchant name. Thanks for your info.

Ya. That's what I thought too initially. I swiped in Jaya Grocer last weekend and it's not tagged as Grocery either. So a bit puzzled. Maybe it's like what supersound mentioned about terminal swiped. I just swiped another dining transaction yesterday. Shall see how and follow up with the CS.

5814 is actually Fast Food Restaurant. Didnt know they are under Fast Food category.

Not sure if my understanding is correct. "the initial enrolment will be deactivated when new enrolment takes place." Does that mean the initial enrolment will only be dropped when the new one comes effective?
