Hello...is there anyone connect ur laptop to the monitor?and what port u guy used?

My laptop only have vga and hdmi port. I read that only hdmi 2.0 cable support the ultrawide ratio. What do you guys suggest here?
*
There's no such thing as "HDMI 2.0" cable. The version of HDMI is determine on the port itself.
As long as your GPU support it, it will do.

Hello, I am looking to buy LG 29UM68 as my old monitor died.

Anyone here using this monitor at the moment? I have read and watch review about this monitor but it would be nice to hear some feedback from users.

Also anyone know any seller from pahang? kuantan or temerloh area. I kinda paranoid to buy through postage for something this big.

thanks!

Yeah. Sad case. So far the only ultrawide curved is from acer and dell in malaysia. How nice if there's distro bringing in LG ultrawide curved

Agree and AMD freesync card doesn't have the RAW power to run those for gaming on ultra settings.

Depends on what game and resolution.

RX 470 and RX 480 can run plenty of games out there, and also of course depends on the resolution on those Ultra-wide monitors.

I'm using the AOC model with Adaptive Sync, and AMD FreeSync recognizes it. Resolution is 2560 x 1080.

If it was a higher resolution ultra wide like Acer X34 with 3440 x 1440 then yes, confirm sure even the RX 480 (which is GTX 1060 level) won't make the cut.

Glad it helps you pull the damn trigger sir.  rclxms.gif

Picture quality wise, TN is kinda a no go for me since I'm on IPS.

Enjoy!

received mine. For sure after this cant go back to other than 21:9 ratio lol.
Question, possible to get 75hz 2560x1080 with hdmi cable? or need dp for it to work?
I found a thread in reddit says possible to get 75hz on hdmi, just need to download and install driver from LG website but its like overclocking the monitor so have to bear the risk.

here

if it is against the rule to link to other website i'll bring it down.

tried the above method, tested with dota 2, character movement not smooth as when using 60hz.

Not sure if you can get 75hz with HDMI.
But you're better off with DisplayPort as 29UM68's Freesync doesn't work via HDMI.
Displayport can be really hard to find anyway.

Is it?
Because not much info can get about watch movies.
Most of them are gaming reviews.
And price around 4xxx or 3xxx? Just incase some shop decided to scam.

priced at somewhere around 4xxx. it's pretty good if your movie format is true 21:9 size and not youtube format with black borders top and bottom

Watch movie on my X34 are pure joy biggrin.gif no black bar, the slight curve increase immersion also, so can call it homemade IMAX wub.gif
Only issue is that it's not easy to find 4K movie ( ehem*pirate*ehem ) coz mostly 1080P that upscale thus not exactly sharp enough. Even found also size damn huge, 46GB 4K Deadpool took 2 full days download.

I think now 4.3K - 4.6K ( found quite good deal in 11street 4.3K with free gifts )
