Yes bro buy x34a if budget permit. But i would say gtx 1070 you can max out graphic settings in game but sacrifice framerates. Or you can achieve higher framerates but lower the settings. Depends on games too, if new games yes it will be impacted, but if old games no feel.
But say later in future when you upgrade gpu, yes your monitor is still awesome.

For your info, my gtx1080 on 2k reso settings everything max on forza horizon 3 and gears of war cannot even hit 144fps dont mention 165fps. Its just hovering around 80fps to 120fps. The only games im able to hit 165fps is league of legends and cs go

Good to hear from XB271HU owner.
If like that better go for x34a instead of XB271HU because there is no point if cannot hit 120-144fps
Thanks buddy

Forgot to update, I finally bought X34 last month. I manage to overclock to 100hz without any problem. This is my 1st G-sync monitor and quite impress with it. It never stutter when the frame rate drop example 100fps to 50 fps and sometimes I don't even aware the frame rate already drop biggrin.gif this g-sync is really amazing.
With 1080p normal monitor, when I'm playing Elite Dangerous, 60 fps flying on outer space suddenly stuttering a lot when approaching the planet or planetary landing (50 fps).

And now also I can view left and right more biggrin.gif
The only problem now is my desk space, more than half of my table is eaten by this monitor hmm.gif
I have to do a little bit temporary adjustment, thanks for the recommendation guys smile.gif

Hi, guys.

Wish to ask some opinion before I break my bank for a G sync monitor.

Want to get a >=27" GSync Monitor.

Looking at Viewsonic XG2703-GS and Dell S2716DG.

Which one is a better buy? I used my PC for gaming and works. Is there any other good recommendation if my budget is around 3k?

Or I should break my bank even more and go for >=30" GSync.

Thanks.

predator X271HU should fit your budget nicely with 2560x1440 rclxms.gif

or

if you decide 2 break more then predator X34 will be your great option with 3440x1440 flex.gif

Any good review on recent 29" ultra-wide?
Quite urgently need for 1 to replace my faulty one.
34" is my dream but right now over-budget and does not have good graphics card to put it to use.
I am currently only on a VGA KVM (yeah I know, I know.) and only on my peasant 4 year old laptop with VGA and HDMI (not sure what version even).

Sorry for the story, any suggestion on 29" ultra-wide? Can VGA support that resolution?

Thank you all for your time.

I'm also looking for one as well. Currently eyeing the 29inch ultrawide. The LG one. But resolution only 1080p

My plan was getting the 34" which cost well over 5k for a decent one (FreeSync).
But those needs serious graphics power and output capabilities to utilize it, needing in a tad hurry making dream purchase sometimes a bit hard. sweat.gif
Last time the Dell 29" does support VGA input, the new one now does not.
I know it's outdated interface but I still needs it for my KVM, and my home server which only has VGA. doh.gif

the future should be ultrawide with HDR now instead of increasing the refresh rates to absurdly 200+ Hz.

Presetup my workstation.
Test run my new rig (KabbyLand + GTX1080) with ACER X34A.

Damn this beast really eating a lot of space in my desk. That stand alone is half of my table.. Maybe will use table mount monitor later on.

Nice! thumbup.gif Alas, I dare say most of us X34 owners face the same issue with our desks. For me, I actually got my contractor in to remove my then worktop (60cm depth) to be refitted with a 70cm one because my man cave is fully built-in. If yours is a table, you have lots of options for monitor stands.

Probably install a desk mount this week. I saw somebody install a desk mount with Acer X34A & it can handle the weigh of the monitor itself.
Lets see how it goes, worth to try.
