Yup. Acer Predator X34

Got it for RM4480.. So far so good.. Very smooth with the 100Hz + G-Sync.. I can easily OC'ed to 100Hz w/o any problems at all. Try with many games such as GTA5 (not enough memory 3GB VRAM), Bf4, N4S Rivals, Watch Dogs n etc.. No problems at all. About the backlight bleeding, actually there is very little backlight bleeding and i'm sure u also didn't notice. The major problems is the IPS Glow, but for me its not a big problem coz u will distract with it only if u play games with dark background. Its not the monitor problem at all, actually its normal for IPS panel. Its cause bcoz of ur POV and ofcoz the monitor is too big. If u move ur head straight to the side of the monitor, there is no IPS Glow. 
Btw, I'm not sure about others reviewers coz I already watched and read most of them. Some I found that they said, if got the version after Nov 2015, then u got no problems. Only version before that got problems with the 100Hz OC due to unstable firmware.

I'm waiting to see if anything interesting is revealed/launched during next week's Computex. If nothing, may pull the trigger for X34 or maybe wait for X34A. The latter is just with stand that has swivel feature.

My predicament is quite similar to yours ie X34/PG348Q and then Acer announced/previewed their Z1 series. On the X34, am not bothered with the glossy back finish as I nor anyone else won't see it given how my setup is oriented. As for the OSD controls, it's not something I expect to meddle with regularly hence, I should be able to overlook this.

While the Z1 series is an "improved" Z35, thinner bezel and better OSD controls, the 1080p was a put off not to mention the VA panel.

As I don't expect to change my monitors as regularly as I would with GPU    getting a 1440p to me becomes more logical an option. Additionally, color from an IPS panel is just so much more "vivid".

Just sharing my self thought processes....

Actually, I am secretly hoping nothing new or exciting related to gaming monitors are announced during Computex. This way, I can just pull the trigger for an X34 without much guilt nor remorse

They are having an "Offer" now, RM4299 + free Predator Headset. FYI, the headset is actually a Steelseries Siberia 200

I think Dell's working on a new UW G-Sync monitor but could be months before it's announced. Dell and Samsung are rather slow in tapping the gaming monitor market.

Yeah.....the S2716DG is so overpriced for a TN panel.

On a different note, Asus and ROG have conducted their Computex 2016 press conferences with ROG showcasinga 24" 165hz monitor. Tomorrow, Computex officially starts. Waiting on Acer/Predator's announcements

EDIT : Seems Acer will be previewing X34P, with native 100hz. Current X34 is native 60Hz, OC to 100Hz. FYI, There's also an X34A already in the market (not Malaysia unfortunately). Diff of X34 and X34A is the stand whereby the latter has swivel function.

With 144hz, gsync not really important already i think. The difference wont be as big as 60hz-->>144hz.

144hz is not default rate? What is the minimum specs to use 144hz? Gsync monitor not cheap. Those who have gsync monitor probably have enough money to buy decent cards.

If a person buy 24" gsync but use low end card, that guy isnt wise.
