huhu..cheapest 34" costs more than my whole rig
*
skylinelover also using 27" but 2560x1440, if yours is 1080p, it's a good jump but won't feel much oohmp.
Also the height is definitely shorter as it's stretched to fill the 2560x1080.
If yours is 2560x1400, don't bother... waste of money.

I want to make the jump as well, but waiting budget to fill up for a serious gaming rig and then 34" 3440x1440, which by next year should be a lot cheaper? Then there's GSync/FreeSync, which is nice for your eye. brows.gif

lulz i still dont fancy whatever sync monitor yet mega_shok.gif but if what you said does come true,,,then maybe i will change my mind rclxs0.gif 34 inch with 180hz devil.gif 3 times 60hz hahahaha

GSync does not mean the GPU work as fast as monitor's refresh rate, it's basically the monitor works to sync with the game's fps (frame/second) so there is no tearing on screen and thus it is nicer to your eye, means less strain when looking at smoother screen especially when playing high pace games.
VSync is however the opposite, which is why it's not as good as GSync or FreeSync which VSync will introduce more GPU usage due to the GPU needs to adjust its frame rate according to monitor's refresh rate.

I think my explanation is some-what correct, I am not sure if FreeSync is using the same concept however so take it as grain of salt... sweat.gif

If yours is indeed this specific model...
http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/acer_xr341ck.htm
Then you can find third party stand easily (100 mm), also note the weight of your monitor is 9.5KG, so you may need to look for VESA mount stand with at least 10KG of support.
Good luck... thumbsup.gif

Any good review on recent 29" ultra-wide?
Quite urgently need for 1 to replace my faulty one.
34" is my dream but right now over-budget and does not have good graphics card to put it to use.
I am currently only on a VGA KVM (yeah I know, I know.) and only on my peasant 4 year old laptop with VGA and HDMI (not sure what version even).

Sorry for the story, any suggestion on 29" ultra-wide? Can VGA support that resolution?

Thank you all for your time.

I'm also looking for one as well. Currently eyeing the 29inch ultrawide. The LG one. But resolution only 1080p

My plan was getting the 34" which cost well over 5k for a decent one (FreeSync).
But those needs serious graphics power and output capabilities to utilize it, needing in a tad hurry making dream purchase sometimes a bit hard. sweat.gif
Last time the Dell 29" does support VGA input, the new one now does not.
I know it's outdated interface but I still needs it for my KVM, and my home server which only has VGA. doh.gif

I have this Acer Nitro VX0 XV340CK Pbmiipphzx running for more than 2 months, still ok though (finger-crossed). Probably just some isolated caps blown cases?
But to get this kind of specs with any other brand within 2k budget is impossible (for now). I saw mostly good 34" 1440p 144Hz Freesync goes above 4k exclude shipping (I live in EM so the cost is even higher). Unless promo maybe drop to 3xxx but never below 2k, this model is like a dream come true for some and nightmare for some.
Still, a worth while investment if it does not blown on first turn on?

After researching quite a few brand, acer, prism, xiaomi, gigabyte etc, i think im going to go with LG 34WN780.

Is this LG a worth buy? I don't mind the low refresh rate as i am a casual gamer and wanted an UW for work. Also im WFH using 2 PC, should be ok with a decent KVM right? I like that its already included with a great arm-like stand and don't mind the slightly higher price if its really that worth.

Please enlighten me if anything i miss guys.

IPS, 1440p, 75Hz (not that high) Freesync, so yeah, if less than 2k then grab it.
LG has been well regard for their good IPS panel, especialy they also supply panels for high-end monitors out there. thumbup.gif

Just a note to really flat ultra-wide, you may need to sit a bit far to get a good view of the side even though it's IPS.
There's a reason for many manufacturers to adopt the 1800r curve for ultra-wide.
