Agreed with you as well. It's just that, too many reports on the panel used on X34 being either has backlight bleeding or bad IPS glow. scared of buying it and find out mine has those issues, plus the asking price is rather on steeper side for such issues to exist out of the box.

Wish Dell or Samsung could just get into the game and produce UW Gsync monitors coz I rather trust these two than Asus and Acer 

Already 3 weeks since I ordered X34 and it's not even send. Bought from Lazada, not sure it Lazada sucks or Acer sucks big time.
One week after I ordered, Lazada called me claimed it's pre-order and I straight away shot them back for lying. Lazada/Acer update the title for the item to include ( pre-order ETA 25th July )    massive speechless. If no stock, stop allowing user to order then    , dont la call later and give reason 

What's the price you can get for U3415W ?
Last time I was quoted over 4K for U3415W, not in any universe I would pay that much money for it, given that X34 is just 200-300 ringgit more ( with 100Hz and G-sync )

make sure you're using the correct version of the HDMI cable. To be safe, use the v1.4 version as that's what the HDMI input of the X34A supports (refresh rates locked at 60Hz via HDMI). Otherwise just use the included DP cable, since your GPU also has the DP input, which in turn supports the 100Hz refresh rates.

hi guys i just bought the x34a. but i cant get the resolution higher than 1080. im using a gtx 980 but hdmi cable. does anyone know what the problem is?

They is no weaknesses for having higher refresh rate even for office use.
The only weak point on the LG 34UC79G is the design a bit fancy for office usage. Some boss may not accept the fancy look.

As for warranty I never buy extra, as long they can give you that extra warranty means it is very little chances it will spoil within the extra warranty period.
