With the Samsung being 1440p while the BenQ 4k with VA and IPS panels respectively, both will offer different user experiences with the latter is targeted more towards professional usage. Critically, what GPU are you planning to invest in? Driving 4k resolution can be quite demanding.

Personally I'm leaning toward 34" ultrawide.

My current setup have one 34" main and a 23" secondary ( in vertical orientation ). I thought I could utilize 2nd monitor for browsing purpose ( as I always have 2 Chrome windows open, on old setup of 23" + 19" ) but I realize my 23" monitor are now basically electricity wasting machine sweat.gif as 2 Chrome windows side-by-side in 34" are perfect.

4K will have even more resolution, but 32" non-ultrawide will have different experience compare to 34" ultrawide.
Maybe depends on whether you're OK with that much resolution and really high dpi or not.

With 144hz, gsync not really important already i think. The difference wont be as big as 60hz-->>144hz.

It is important. Unless you can guarantee that your system is able to drive that 144Hz of a display. Gsync on the other hand, drives the monitor to match with what the card produces, hence less tearing.

144hz is not default rate? What is the minimum specs to use 144hz? Gsync monitor not cheap. Those who have gsync monitor probably have enough money to buy decent cards.

If a person buy 24" gsync but use low end card, that guy isnt wise.

144Hz is the max refresh rate for the panel. it doesn't mean your system needs to be really capable of achieving 144Hz at all times, does it? Gsync ranges from 30Hz to the max limit your panel supports.

I dont think that there's anyone out there buying a Gsync monitor without having a proper system, but it doesn't mean that people who have, let's say, GTX1060, cant use a 24" Gsync monitor.

ranting.gif now eyeing for the X34A then. But maybe need to order custom-designed stickers to hide the hideous glossy back. The back bothers me a lot.

On the other hand, Asus PG348Q is ridiculously priced by Asus at RM6K doh.gif

Because of how my den is oriented, I would not be able to see the back panel so, the X34A is it. Waiting for stock availability.

FYI

Yes im going for that as well. Maybe if, the X34P panel somehow can be OCed further beyond 100Hz, I'd sell the X34A at a loss and get it, otherwise, maybe just keep the 34A. waiting for the slight improvements for months is definitely not worth my time.

Mafia 3 is coming out somemore. And been holding on from playing Witcher 3 just to experience it on UW.

Ya, try check with them, they might have ready stock. At least that's my case, I saw it there, so I bought from them. Asked few other places, all no ready stock or need order for one to two weeks.

They're waiting for the stock to arrive also. Well no rush then coz I also need to revamp my desktop area first in order to accommodate the large footprint of the X34A. Current table is too tight. Gotta visit IKEA soon. sweat.gif
