didn't quite get what you were trying to say?

anyway those who plan to buy the monitor, it's advisable to get your own DP cable, the included one is only 1m long, bloody damn short considering the monitor is a 34" UW, means bigger table normally?.. wtf ACer doh.gif

I had wanted to get the X34 since April when news came out about the X34A and while waiting for the X34A to arrive, news of the X34P came out. Now that the X34P has been delayed to 2017, am not going to play the waiting game and ascended with the X34A. If one keeps waiting, it will be a never ending wait.

Erm, X34A can reach 100Hz no problem. Difference are Acer not guaranteed to reach 100Hz, but as far as I read from reddit, only really small portion of owner cant OC to 100Hz but still no problem to 95Hz.

yup no problem with 100Hz, even on a 5m DP v1.2 cable, as widely reported on the other forums whereas they have flickering@100Hz using a longer than 2m DP cable. Just make sure it's v1.2 then good to go.

just that initially mine came with a slight IPS backlight bleeding on the top and bottom right corners, noticed it when watching some movies, but did some light massages and rubs on the edge of those areas, reduced the bleed greatly. Really happy with my unit here biggrin.gif

And I still haven't peeled off the plastic protector on the back side. The glossy finish still annoys me lol laugh.gif

The rear glossy looks does no bother me one bit because I can't see it tongue.gif

My unit OC to 100Hz without issues. No coil whine and the BLB is quite minimal. Only grouse I have is the curve not curve enough tongue.gif

lol true that! The curve is really subtle, I personally don't notice the curvature unless i stand up and look at the top frame. Well no worries, the X34P is still coming anyway. Sell this off and get the curvy baby next year then for you? laugh.gif

Hahaha....let's see how the price is. Am half convinced that the price of the X34P will be significantly higher than the current X34A

I think most probably will be a direct replacement for the X34A one so price should be around the same RRP as the current X34A. When it's out, will definitely go and have it checked out, to determine whether the curvier nature of the panel will make a difference or not. It'd be great if the panel can be OCed beyond 100Hz, maybe 120Hz? biggrin.gif

You can actually check if you like the curvature by viewing that of the Z35

I used to see it on display at Harvey Norman and All IT at IPC. Eh, but Lowyat has an Acer showroom also no display? It's on the ground floor if not wrong. Otherwise, can try Topmaid on second floor. Sometimes, they have one on display.

just visited what I could during that day since CODing with few sellers at other areas also, went to AllIT though but only had the Asus PG348Q on display, in which it was very nice. and didn't know got Acer showroom on Ground Floor lol. laugh.gif Lowyat wasn't it was used to be, lots of Pakistanis/Bangladeshis laptop sellers who kept on harassing me in buying their laptops at their booths. not a really good experience. If it wasn't for TopMaid, I didn't think I'd gone there. Anyhow will still have to see the upcoming X34P in person coz that was my initial target.

Most expensive 34" g-synch monitor in the market now, with SRP of RM5,999. And it has the same panel as the X34
