I got many friends that migrated to Sgpore for work.. heard tht they been doin good so far... =)

I just paid the 15% tax. 
because I changed employer recently.
can I get rebate for that? I'm still working in SG what.

Hi, this topic already 122 pages long, no time to read all. I got a few questions..

1.Anyone after studying ACCA in malaysia, then apply to big4 in singapore before? hows the starting pay like right now?

2.If just apply using OBU degree, while taking last 2 acca papers part time, what are the chances of big4 in singapore accepting ?

3.What are the current rental charges for a single room apartment in singapore per month?

4.Among the big 4s ( P,E,K,D) which has the most exposure to listed companies in sg?

Lastly, if any of u here who worked in big4 in sg, please share some experience of your working life there:) Might consider applying for a job there in the beginning of next year, if everything goes well.

I just arrived here afew days ago. got myself a common room for SGD500/mo with aircon + utilities in AMK.

FYI...nowdays common rooms at singapore is 550 to 800SGD.
Not that cheap already

i think you cannot with other employer if u still not yet PR of Singapore or ur work permit implies u to work with full time employer only ......

alternatively i heard from iras tat if ur comp can give u a letter sayingthat u r employed by them u can straight get abck ur $$
but i didn't do tat too lz

well,i'm currently working in a construction company in s'pore. due to now s'pore construction boom,there're tonnes of jobs n vacancies. s'pore is a good place for living, as it is a safe country with well-controlled in almost everything by the government. it's a good place for study as the education standard is high here, yet for work...stress.i may have said, ppl here are too demanding, working life here is stressful (depends on ur scope of work of coz)...actually it depends on how u handle ur working life too...so...good luck n all the best..
