QUOTE(finkl1 @ Nov 12 2006, 08:01 PM) Sorry, folks...all talk and no answers...this will show you a better perspective of Singapore's employer/employee fund contribution and withdrawal/deduction... Yup! I agree, SIngapore is okay if we plan to earn and save money for future. Long term, better come back to Malaysia http://mycpf.cpf.gov.sg/Employers/Gen-Info...ri/ContriRa.htm bottom line... for money...Singapore is ok. |

QUOTE(Annie @ Apr 29 2008, 10:02 PM) if you are planning to come to singapore, pls make sure you agree with the room rental price first. common room is SGD550 now. You're right. Room rate is around SGD550. If rent an aprtment, it will cost around SGD1200-1500. http://hdbflat.blogspot.com http://flatsdb.com If your offer is around SGD2500 to SGD3000, u better think thrice. Plus the food here is around same price as Malaysia. |

QUOTE(jimmy79 @ May 1 2008, 11:31 PM) I dun think the average rental of a common room is 550 that high yet. It depends on the area (whether close to LRT station) and the class of the apartment. One of my friend also getting cheaper rate but she stay in a low class flat.Almost all of my friends able to get a common room between 300-400 only. I have 1 friends even get a masterroom(aircond) with 550 only. Other master bedroom price i know is around 600-650. There is a lot of owner asking high rental but there is a lot asking reasonable price as well. |

QUOTE(rotigal @ May 22 2008, 08:21 PM) How about the security there? I bet it is so much safer than Malaysia! Like in malaysia, girls get wistled at.... then you have perverts lah... and people lepaking at central markets, sogo and etc (mostly not Msian)... I heard the Singaporeans dont act like Msians do... they dont look at girls one kind (in a pervert way)... Haha! Security is much much safer than in Malaysia. If you walk alone on the street at 12am, you need not worry about it. |

QUOTE(J(o)y @ May 25 2008, 03:45 PM) That being said, i guess depends on which location. No place in the world is 100% safe. Just be smart and act accordingly if you see something odd! i heard like Jurong, industrial area, also a lot of "cases" I guess, generally safer than Malaysia lar, but definitely noy 100% or even 95% safe. |

Meat ? I think not allowed at all. Alcoholic, not sure if there is limit but you can only bring into Malaysia max of 1L only.
