I don't think you can rent it for SGD300 in Buona Vista area. If you don't believe me can try to look around at the Strait Times Classified and call up any agent to ask for the price.
Good Luck.

You might jam at the woodland or tuas Kastam for few hour due to the mas selamat case. So bring some food with you.

For Singapore Causeway Traffic Watch :

Custom Check Point: 68630117 or 63916100
Alternative, go back by Tuas Highway as the traffic in Kranji ~ Woodland area gets really toughy in the evening after 3pm.

Hei guys, i recently lost my phone...
Any of u guys know where i can some cheap and reliable phones??

Any norm Singtel, M1, StarHub centre would be reliable to buy phones but avoid SIM LIN SQUARE,
West Mall in Bt Batok offers lots of variety as well.

Hi, any particular reason for avoiding Sim Lim? Bad pricing? Poor service? Counterfeit goods?

Counterfeit goods ?
That one I'm not too sure but e locals used to say you can get lots of counterfeit goods there smile.gif

Meat ? I think not allowed at all. Alcoholic, not sure if there is limit but you can only bring into Malaysia max of 1L only.

Dear Seantantang, not all ppl got time to waste on the internet, which may take less than few minutes to get the answer if lucky, but may take few hours to get the answers if unlucky.

So one alternative is to ask those ppl who may directly knows the answer.

And further, i beliv the question was directed to ppl who knows the answer and intend to share it.  So for those who dun dun knows or knows but dun ntend to share, it was not for u.  Please dun discourage ppl to share info and ask questions in this forum.  More nfo feeding to this forum is healthy
Thanks for your understanding J(O)Y, I was kinda in a rush that day. Nd a direct answer.
Anyway, I managed to bring out of SG 2 bottles of red wine without paying taxes.

Seantang, appreciate for e Custom link but somehow certain description on e custom link is none of layman term such as fortified, fermented, still wine. Even if we're to bring in rice dumpling during this festive "Duan Wu Jie", dumpling rice are not allowed to bring in to SG as well even though the link given does not specifically mentioned on this.

Hope there's more forumers willing to share more info on how they save on food cost and on taxable or non-taxable food product.

To get PR at least sgd3k?
room start with sgd 150 share with others, 250-450 for a single person room?
almost all jobs is start with sgd750 if you have a work permit. in factory maybe u can get sdg 400 up???

Are you talking the same Singapore that we know?  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
That all the stories your heard or you really been there before.
*
hmm...
Some of my ex-schoolmate working around here got their PR when their salary around SGD1500.
(Enginnering grad fr USM-one year back). I wonder anyone break this record?
As long as the company is willing to back you up, it shud be fine.

Current room pricing for common room shud be around sgd500-sgd700 (along the MRT green line)
Condominium around Balestier Rd > SGD1000 per room.

Hi, this topic already 122 pages long, no time to read all. I got a few questions..

1.Anyone after studying ACCA in malaysia, then apply to big4 in singapore before? hows the starting pay like right now?

2.If just apply using OBU degree, while taking last 2 acca papers part time, what are the chances of big4 in singapore accepting ?

3.What are the current rental charges for a single room apartment in singapore per month?

4.Among the big 4s ( P,E,K,D) which has the most exposure to listed companies in sg?

Lastly, if any of u here who worked in big4 in sg, please share some experience of your working life there:) Might consider applying for a job there in the beginning of next year, if everything goes well.

Thanks in advanced for replies:) will really appreciate.

Hi All,

Is there a law stated in SG if your application for PR failed, you are not allowed to apply for PR for a min period of one year?
What are the most secure condtions for applying a PR.
Would you nd a min 6mths of paycheck for the PR ?

Appreciate for your feedback.
