oh... ok... anyway it seems like i look like a spammer in this thread now... but just sorry i have too many in my mind that i have no one to ask about...

can i ask next question? or i should just stop here?

how is it if to run a business in singapore instead of just working? is that easy with the R&Rs? or the competition?
*
Isn't that too generic a question? What sort of business?

erm... no i mean everyone thinks or at least i think it's better to work in singapore for number of reasons... but i havent heard of people saying... going to singapore to run a business, right?

also i know this singaporean guy he actually left singapore for the reason, singapore is being too stressful to live in and also he doesnt want his kids to become kiasu... and he told me in order to get a good job, they look at your results from secondary school... and he said he doesnt want his kids to have no life beside studying everyday... in short, the lifestyle is not so balance...

but afterall, i am not sure about all these... anyone can clarify?

I don't believe for one instance that Singapore is a conducive environment for work-life-balance, the entire social system is geared to being hyper competitive and laidback lifestyles are frowned upon by the vast majority.

I can't comment regarding businesses in Singapore but for working professionals, the career advancement and pay packets for them in Singapore far and away outstrip anything offered in Malaysia except for maybe the very top job positions.

The Singaporean residents in this forum would be in a better position to answer you.

Don't take this the wrong way, but all your questions are way too generic and open ended.

You ask simple one sentence questions but all require long essays if to cover the reasonable or applicable possibilities and variables.

What do you like to cook, what's average, what raw ingredients, how much do you eat...

eggs 10 biji $1.30 for the smallest one; dragon fruit 3 biji $1.50; fresh homemade fish balls 10 biji $2; one piece of chicken breast $2; a can of sardins $1.50; one packet of 5kg fragrant rice $10... do I sound like an auntie? laugh.gif

ericca I do cook for my girlfriend once a while (every weekend that is). Let's see... a dinner of bihun soup cost us around SG8 for 2 person.

... and that is every bowl of bihun was served with salmon fillet, 5 fishballs, an egg, lots of vege, and ikan bilis soup that I'd boiled for an hour hahaha laugh.gif I don't think anyone could make 2 bowls of bihun soup for RM10 tongue.gif

okie... more examples... a dinner with one ABC soup, a can of sardines, and a plate of vege = $6... and that is more than enough for both of us; in fact normally we eat till wanna vomit =.=" However do note that I didn't factor in the cost of cooking gas, water, and electricity. Eating outside may be cheaper, but if compare the size of serving definitely cooking will be cheaper.

wub.gif and i just love to cook with my girlfriend helping me... and seeing a smile on her face and a satisfied tummy is just something money can't buy.

Umm... you do know that Malaysia's military can't actually win any wars against any of it's neighbours right? In terms of numbers, armaments and training.

And you do know that Singapore's military is based on the Israeli Armed Forces and is tailored to blitz larger enemy numbers with overwhelming firepower, technology and tactics, right? Which is why Israel won a war in 7 days against the most powerful militaries (at that time) in the Middle East despite being vastly outnumbered and surrounded?

kunyit kampung must be one of those deluded fools who fantasize about Singapore being part of Malaysia. I suspect he is one of those ketuanan melayu types.

hey that sounds alright, the AMOUNT might sound not economical, but then look at the ingredients in it, definitely worth the price...

and couldnt agree more on the lovey cooking scene, i mean i love cooking too, not that cooking with someone but the feeling of cooking is great!!
