Either the fan cables were loose OR your PSU provide insufficient power ...
If the problem was due to the PSU, you got to watch out.

I dun expect you to buy any other brand which is lesser known and lower quality than CM to pair with superior Lian li case....analytical my fren... dude...stalking? hahaha...i dun stalk guys... |

true. for LED fans...definitely it'll be coolermaster. what else? vizo? acryan?
any info about ATE selling the filter for the front intake for the PC-G7? long time ago, when i bought my casing, they didn't sell the filter. now ..dunno. how to put a filter or filter out the dust for the holes on the side panel if i were to use my sidepanel fan as intake? IMO, making it as exhaust raises the noise cos the fan is blowing air through those metal between the holes. the exhaust airflow through holes is limited This post has been edited by Skylinestar: Jun 19 2007, 07:29 PM |

I know uglyvamp is selling the filters, but those filters are very plastic looking filters... I think any filters are able to filter out dust from going in to the casing but the problem is, these filters are screwed to the case, not those that are easily removable for cleaning....correct me if i'm wrong...
I'm currently on the lookout for those filters that comes with a holder that makes filter removing easier. to visualize, the holder is screwed to the case,but the filter is not.... i think it will be damn hard to find these, even international online shops also do not sells those, although i came across only a handful |

u mean like this??
![]() thats the filter im using right now.... all i need to do is remove the cover u see and wash the filter...no need to unscrew anything. u can PM uglyvamp for it.. coz i bought mine from him oso.. alternatively u can go ALL IT and check out the aerocool fan. it comes with that kinda filter + fan (not selling seperately). the thing look like spiderweb wan. EDIT: one thing to note when using this filter... the airflow kinda changes... refer pic ![]() This post has been edited by mADmAN: Jun 19 2007, 08:30 PM |

@mADmAN,
I saw that filter as well from uglyvamp and almost got it but decided for another type of mesh version from him because of the dead zone of the filter. Does it block alot of airflow into the casing? My current one is also from uglyvamp and its easy for cleaning as well. Just wipe it and most of the dust would be gone. However, there is still a hassle of needing to open up the front panel first before cleaning it.. Besides, i dont like the spider filter at all. Priced at around RM40+ together with that weird fan, i rather spend more on a better fan and get an optional filter.. |

? You're using a PC7B according to your sig rite? Shouldn't your front panel also be a simple pull off affair?
As for my setup, I hate dust getting into my rig as well, so for both my 120mm intakes, I have one layer foam filter (the stock kind that comes with LL cases) and another layer of aluminum mesh filter from MNPCTech.com. Will post pics later if I have time after I'm back from work. |

No. The one that came together with my PC7B is aluminum mesh type which needed to be bounded with the fan. Besides, the holes are too small, causing air suction to be real bad and not to mention, increasing noise level as well...Changed it to uglyvamp's one and its better..Still, i am searching for something easier but wont block too much airflow..As for my setup, I hate dust getting into my rig as well, so for both my 120mm intakes, I have one layer foam filter (the stock kind that comes with LL cases) and another layer of aluminum mesh filter from MNPCTech.com. I realized it's quite effective but also reduce airflow by quite a margin and increases the fan noise ... Well, mine that came with the LL are almost these type but its small holes rather than the one like yours..![]() ![]() |

since were on the topic of filters...thought id share this.... i havent done PC maintenance for a VERY LONG time... and see what ive discovered
this filter was used on my HSF...check out the amount of dust on it... ![]() now to compare the fan the filter was being used for. see how clean the fan is...theres dust...but very little... and there was ALMOST ZERO dust on the heatsink itself ![]() so id say this is a good filter....doesnt block out much airflow but blocks out dust like mad. the filter was so dirty i had to spray water AND scrub it with a brush to get all the dust out for those who wants to know...its the same filter from the pic in my previous post...i bought this filter from uglyvamp. u can get it in his store in the price n dealers guide section under UV stuff (the frame is UV reactive) This post has been edited by mADmAN: Jun 21 2007, 03:11 AM |
