Hi..got myself here pc-7s. I'm wondering whether you guys have noise problem with lianli cases? Both my 120mm fan running at around 1400rpm and are giving audible noise.

May I ask...for my pc-7s
1. Is there a way to lower the speed of my stock lian LI 120mm fan in the front and at the back?
2. The top square ventilation hole, is it for exhaust or intake??

thanks.

Hi...I'm wondering, the top blow hole for Lian Li PC-7S is for intake or exhaust? Some websites says it's intake if the blow hole is near the rear, and some say it's exhaust...mine is in the middle...

So, what's the purpose for top blowhole? intake or exhaust? really confusing...

Here's the pic of Lian Li PC-7S...

i got Lian-li PC G7 model and it comes with the top blowhole !  i dint put any fan.

I've got extra coolermaster 80mm fan...so i'm not wasting a good fan, but i'm not sure it's for exhaust or intake.

It's more for intake fresh air to supply ur RAM and CPU ...

Becoz with another one that act as intake the difference between only single intake and dual exhaust would be more balanced..

But it would be wise not to add any fan at all .. the dust would be pulled in faster ... just leave it with open holes so that the CPU fan could pull the air in ..

QUOTE(radical85 @ May 7 2007, 07:46 PM)
imo its suppose to be exhaust... it seems more efficient that way
*
It seems that both also got a point there....this is why exactly it made me confused in the first place. Nonetheless, I'll try to experience without or as intake or exhaust in the weekend.

Woooooooo. So fast u bought oredi. From ATE? coz this model was still a pre production model at the recent Hanover CEBIT. So fast reach retail d.
*
ya...went to ATE to check out other cases, but when i state my budget, the ATE guys straight away recommend me this LianLi PC-7S. Luckily I heard u guys praising it, so I straight away bought it.

Right now, I'm very satisfied with this case, but the only bad thing is, there's no fan filter infront and I have problem with the 120mm case fan noise.

p/s : These are the pictures I took early morning today! rclxms.gif

i oso almost buy this type of case when i was first introduced to this case by ATE guy. hehe.. but i do very not like that silver-black pattern, the price is very attracting, rm238 if i`m not mistaken. so i choose with this one with big ass fan blush.gif btw about the front fan noise, is it because of that mesh grill or what?
*
Ya, it's RM238 but i went for the one with blue case fans, so it's RM248. For me, the silver black front is acceptable. All I need is one case with good air flow and PC-7S seems to do the job.
Wanna ask you guys, can we buy fan filter from ATE too? or should i use the self made pantyhose filter??

wan ask those who bought the PC-7S about what they think of the case.. is it spacious enough? ie, can fit a gtx in there nicely? looking for a case with depth.. if there's nothing else den i have to get v1200 di.. (which is 800++) T.T
*
Dun worry..it's spacious! using one right now, but you have to get use with noisy Lian Li case fans....

T.T uncle, i asked you if wan sell or not but nvr reply me..

anyway.. just fixed up the case.. got a scare just now cos can't start up at all.. @.@ tot that i fried my components while transplanting.

had to swap my rams into the other slots and finally can boot up.. hmm.. did i just kill 2 of my ram slots?
*
Last time the same thing happened to my sis's comp. swap the RAMs on different ram slot, then add another 2 RAMs to test all slots....seems to be working. funny....
then swap the RAMs back to original slots again, and it's working perfectly....double funny...

I cant wait to see your new PC-7S....just curious how you set it up compared to mine... rclxm9.gif
