Plans for the future? Perhaps an intake in those 3 unused bays at the top. Or, just move to an A10 and sell this one.

Here's a fairly recent shot of my PC-61 Plus. Will try to get more pics with a better cam if I open it up soon to do routine cleaning.

Speaking of the EX-34 thingie, I really wanted one, but... I can't help but think it looks pretty damn fugly lar. The intake vent design just doesn't match the rest of the case front bezel.

QUOTE(ianho @ Nov 5 2006, 03:57 PM) Ya man. I oso itching to get the thing. I want it just for the air intake to blow straight onto my gfx cards. But like u sed, looks like shite. So.................... I'll be making my own fan cage for the ROM slots to use in King Kong. Lol hence the reason I PM-ed you about modders mesh. Anyway if you're making yourself one, then cool, I can enlist your help making me one too. |

That A16 model doesn't look very appealing.
But the EX33 looks OK, the vents now look similar to the main intake vent on my PC-60P. Altho, RM90 is quite steep still. |

Yeap, that GT-7 looks like a decent low-budget casing, but I'd pull off the fugly logo first thing tho.

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Nov 13 2006, 03:06 PM) the logo may be fugly...but im proud of it babeh!! ? The sticker on Lian Li is black as well ain't it?honestly...i think the black sticker logo blends in much better with the case than the white lian li sticker Hmm, I kinda wish I could get one back from SG too tho, it would make a great case upgrade for my dad's PC. I'm still dreaming about an A10 or something though. |

I used Autosol before on one of my older aluminum cases, it does turn black, then shiny after rubbing it all out. You'll turn a couple of cloths completely black doing this, plus it take lots of time and effort to make sure you don't leave swirl marks too.

I've never seen a use for the blowhole on my PC60, so I've sealed off the entire top of my case with sound dampening material.
That 3M polish looks interesting though, does it leave black smudges like Autosol that you need to rub off later? |

Actually, the Scythe Ninja is 15cm tall and it passes through just nicely on my PC-60 Plus. (About 5mm clearance) I was quite surprised too.

But S80 airflow too complicated IMO. Altho it does look good haha.
Haiseh, that day I went ATE to pickup some parts for my new C2D rig, they still don't have the EX-33 HDD rack. |

My C2D setup in my good 'ol PC61-Plus. I'm still happy to know that the Ninja fits through the mobo tray hole.
![]() ![]() OK fine, so it looks pretty much exactly the same as my old P4 system lol, but I guess that's what I get for sticking to the same casing haha. Haven't gotten to overclocking yet tho. |

Wah what did you pickup 2 G7s for? You secondary and tertiary rigs?
I'm waiting for a Scythe Kama Bay to place into my PC-60B Plus. Don't think I'll be changing case anytime soon, this trusty case is still good for me. |

It's the EX33. ATE still hasn't got it, but I expect price will be similar to the EX34, so expect to shell out RM150 or so for it.
I couldn't wait, so I'm having a Scythe Kama Bay from Petras soon. |

G7 doesn't have a sliding removable mobo tray right?
I'm actually tempted to try it out since it's so cheap, it's got the advantage of a rear 12cm and side 12cm exhaust over my PC-60B Plus which only has a single 8cm exhaust. But the sliding tray is just too damn useful when doing big installations and tinkering about. Hmm someone talk me out of it now. |

I don't tinker around that often, but when I do, it's a godsend when working with big tower heatinks like my Ninja. Removing and installing it in the confines of a case can be a little tight.
But other than that, the airflow on the G7 looks significantly better. Hmmmmm......... |

QUOTE(ianho @ Feb 8 2007, 09:07 AM) It's possible with the 12cm rear fan, but like Bliz said above, with a OC-ed C2D, I doubt I'd bother. A 800rpm 120mm fan doesn't make any noise anyway. QUOTE(c9 @ Feb 8 2007, 09:18 AM) But the dust, only god knows. Even my V1000 is not that dusty internally. Haha! Wait, it's very dusty? That's a big issue for me since I can't stand dust, being abit obsessive compulsive. But I guess with negative pressure from the 2 120mm fans, all the dust will slowly move in through the slits on the front panel. If I get one, I'll probably try to equalize flow abit with my Kama Bay, but then again the PSU also has a 120mm exhaust. But overall, yeah, airflow and temperature improved alot. Hey, it ain't that bad, seriously. It's freaking cheap already for a casing (with the name LL of course).. But the lure of excellent airflow is hard to resist. I'm going LYP this Sunday to get a Panasonic SATA DVD+RW, will drop by ATE to take a look. |

Yeah obviously it's easy enough to make a dust filter. I've made plenty of custom ones too.
The problem is, the entire intake of the G7 relies on those tiny little slits. Blocking those up with filter material will severely limit the amount of air going into the casing. |

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Feb 8 2007, 06:55 PM) the tiny slits id for air to flow through the front bezel. if u remove the front bezel, there will be a true 120mm intake hole (this is the place to fit the filter). Yeah there's a 120mm intake hole at the bottom. The issue lies with the fact that I'm pretty sure the slits on the bezel are not blocked in anyway at the top around the 5.25" area. This is where the dust will all go in since the pressure in this case is likely to be negative.however, there is still small crevices for dust to suck in. the front 120mm hole is kinda big. i've fit uglyvamp's filter but there's still some spaces next to the filter. the side has holes for ventilation. it's meant for exhaust. i've tested it as intake for cooling my galaxy zalman 7300GT but there's no difference in temperature. however, dust will surely suck in. i wonder how to fit a big filter on the side panel. |
