Personally, I'd go for LAN if want buffer-free streaming - all my streamer boxes are connected through LAN - the only one on wifi (Apple TV) suffers lag and intense buffering (despite using AC router)

yeah..i prefer wired connection too but pulling a cable from top level to ground floor is a bit challenging. Have to hack through walls and so on. Might even need to hire professionals to do it.

It will work, if it can work on your android tablet or phone, for sure can work. You might need to either connect a wired/ wireless mouse or an airmouse to use it though.

i have been having problems with kodi since 16. Even 17 is showing same problem.

Sometimes my whole kodi will get reset to default blank installation. So I have to reinstall all the addons and all. Anyone have any idea why this is happening? Is it because I am using external USB for my storage? Bad thing is, we cannot specify which apps to store in internal/external storage. Now all is controlled by android tv.

Hi guys, I am thinking of getting a mibox, but need some help on the below:

1.) anyone bought from www.kodibuy.com? trusted seller?
2.) can mibox do mirroring with PC (via google cast) and Mac (airplay)?
3.) any issue using mibox with time broadband service?

thank you so much!

Just got my 'free' mibox android tv. Feeling a bit disappointed with the app selection. Apple TV might have been the better option but I'm not complaining since it's free. 4K 60FPS is acceptable although not perfect. Sometimes it stutter very slightly but noticeable. My main usage is for my son to stream youtube and it's perfect for that. Also plenty useful for myself since I'm will be using it to watch LCK. I really wished they would allowed at least Chrome but sadly to no avail. Not to mentioned I had to pay again because it didn't show my purchases from my android phones.

No idea on question 1.) and 3.) coz have buy from the site u mentioned and not a Time User.

For question 2.), i would say it depends on which version of mibox you buy.

If it's international version mibox that supports google cast (casting from PC is not a problem with extension being installed on Chrome on your PC.

If you buy a Chinese version of mibox, it supports miracast (depends on version). You need to figure out how to cast from PC via miracast add-ons / programs.

Does this means that you want to have google chrome installed on your Mibox? You can just download the apk and sideload it to your mibox. Need to purchase? Google Chrome is free rite?

You can try to download 小薇直播,HDTV,电视家2.0. not all channels works..but for CCTV and Province Satellite TV channels should be view-able. Else just download 沙发管家 they have got those popular TV streaming apps for China Live TV.

You wouldn't want powerline unless really no choice. It's not as fast as advertised.

Hi,

I got a new open box set of Mi Box 3 (MDZ-16-AA chinese 1GB RAM/4GB ROM) available.
Actually in a dispute process with seller as he advertised the 2GB / 8GB version but I got this instead.
Let me know if you want, its still spanking new. I opened it, plug it in to test, it auto updated to latest firmware, then i found out that the model is wrong.

I would be able to sell it to you RM180 minus shipping (or come COD @ PJ).

If you (or anyone) want, let me know so I can sell and be happy, u happy, seller also happy i will cancel the dispute.

Pls PM if interested. TQ.

Ohhh...Too bad then, coz the china version doesn't have play store, so you cant access google play games data but even if it have play store not all games are compatible with android TV. Some are not available on TV.
