If the telcos themselves are doing it then yes, it will be for their signal only. If the building management is doing it, they can include all telcos. Apparently there are some who do it for their own homes. See here:

my previous experience was dealing with digi. but that was 3 years ago. technology is changing haha. hope the building management can help u. i know the frustration of without signal

anyone using celcom 38 with note 4? i just can get 2 bar in 4G.
it is device problem or telco?? hmm.gif

I'm on a note 4. I can get 4 bars in 4G at a few places (just not at my office highrise, lol) so I don't think it's a phone problem?

Edit: I'm in KL, Jalan Ampang.

bandar utama shld be lte stronghold.  try other phone and see got changes?

Just got a call from Celcom regarding to my complaint about not able getting LTE coverage and data signal fluctuating between 3G and H+ in Bandar Utama & Aman Suria. The fella said this rate plan capped the speed at 7.2Mbps as he double confirmed with the relevant product owners. I was like eye-rolling since most of the people using this plan got uncapped LTE speed now.

Hence, it is either they are going to cap it to 7.2Mbps, Celcom accidentally uncapped the speed or that fella gave the outdated info. blink.gif

I think outdated info as mine can get 25.59 Mbps (download) and 6.35 Mbps (upload) in LTE.
Location, Shah Alam.

For MNP need to charge RM10 for sim card.
If New number, pay RM41 for advance first month payment.

I ported over from U-mobile on Saturday at Celcom Xclusive at Bukit Tinggi Klang, they charge me RM5.00 for the sim card.

Anyway, it took just under half an hour and I'm with Celcom's network.

I'm using a non LTE set (waiting to buy a LTE set), speed wise so far it's hit and miss, sometimes 3 to 4 Mbps, sometimes 1 to 2 Mbps.
I'm kinda missing my U-mobile service but at the back of my head, I'm thinking that if I get the LTE set, I'll have much quicker internet connections. Also the coverage would be much wider than U-mobile.
Keeping my fingers cross.

mnp shouldnt be charged for sim card. telco might charge rm10/20 for nano sim but foc for mini/micro sim

Anyone got their first pro-rate bill already?
Mind to share the breakdown?
I was wondering I paid the advance payment during sign up but another RM38 advancement payment occurred as one-time charge in my bill.

apparently dealers need to pay rm500 to enable them to register this plan.

dunno how much is their commission but maybe that's y they charge rm5 for d sim so that they get back their modal faster

That's why I always, always go to official centres. If can go to Menara Celcom itself even better. Dealers can be scums. All they want is your money

By the way, I went to help a friend upgrade from Celcom pre-paid to Basic 38.

They gave her a new sim card, no extra charge.

This was at Celcom Xclusive office.
