I saw this new plan from Celcom. I'm still currently using the i68 plan way back since iPhone 4S.

This new one looks interesting, better to go for this one?

I'm more Internet than phone calls.

So can I easily port number by terminating existing Celcom postpaid, go to Maxis and apply for pre-paid?

What is the fastest/cheapest way to port out my number from Celcom to Digi/Maxis/etc, then back to Celcom ?

Damn confusing about this porting for postpaid. The FAQ said we can change plan if we are current Celcom postpaid.

You need go to Celcom Xclusive not Blue Cube
that mean for data 3GB till you change to another plan
*
I did go to Xclusive. The Blue Cube was to double check if the policy was true.

Here are facts:

You can change whatever celcom postpaid plan you have to Basic 38.
You can upgrade from celcom prepaid to Basic 38.

Those who said you cannot convert may have not get their info updated.

Maybe 5mbps is the ultimate price for such low cheap plan. Doesn't bother me though.

Very desperate it seems. Basic 38 best plan ever?

Would you all rather go back on previous plan, be it maxis, digi, because of the speed caps?

I'd rather stick to my prev mBasic rm38 with 1gb and full LTE speed than 3gb at 3G speed.

Speed > Data.

U can topup ur data anytime, but u can't add/boost ur speed.
*
I see, although I prefer Data > Speed but I think 5mbps is fine for me. Still better than my previous i68 data (800mb!).

I think its pretty telling that Basic 38 was possible to be this cheap because bandwidth cap.

I'm using a supplementary line under maxis, will I be able to port just like that or do I need to make mine into a principle line first?
*
I think you need the main account holder to do this.

Is this 38 plan contract free?
*
Yes although you must be the one contract free if you plan to migrate to this plan.

By the way, I went to help a friend upgrade from Celcom pre-paid to Basic 38.

They gave her a new sim card, no extra charge.

This was at Celcom Xclusive office.
