convert to hotlink prepaid first, then baru port from hotlink to basic 38......

porting from prepaid to postpaid is easier.....dunno why

in the middle of porting for example from maxis to celcom, so currently you are still under maxis or celcom?
if still under maxis, the usage (data, calls, sms) during this process how to pay? or you actually got no line at all duing this process?

As expected, before those who kena ady, I kena before ady, if you see my previous posting....macam-macam excuse given, i have contract lah, no sms issuesent to you for porting confirmation bla bla! Maxis will not easily let you go! They will hold you until you buat hal kat dia orang!I am a Maxis supporter since 2002 and now sorry to say, I hate you so much Maxis for your so much troubled you caused to me! Remember if you have a port issue with Maxis, please complaint to SKMM directly. DO NOT WAIT ANYMORE!

Don't wait till your prepaid expiry date only request for porting as Maxis tends to delay the porting process with all sort of reasons and is slower than other telco to process MNP. I suggest you to request the port 3-5 days earlier, I used 7 days to port from Maxis to Celcom

apparently dealers need to pay rm500 to enable them to register this plan.

dunno how much is their commission but maybe that's y they charge rm5 for d sim so that they get back their modal faster

You all paid when you all ported? I did mine at blue cube they told me when the bill comes only pay.

Registered Tuesday evening wanting to port out from Hotlink (Maxis) but till now no SMS  or any notification about the status on my MNP.

Porting out from Maxis usually take how long?

Still waiting since 2nd May...... celcom postpaid to another celcom postpaid plan also so slow...
Yesterday purposely didn't call to ask for update, really nobody from celcom call me back.
Enough lah, time to report to Communication and Multimedia Consumer Forum 1st. Still no solution present to me then MCMC.

Wow just got ported from Hotlink to Celcom in less than 24 hours! Done in Setia Walk Bluecube. No upfront payment, no RM10/RM5 SIM card scam.

Sequence of events:

14/5 ~1700 Visit Blue Cube Setiawalk to request MNP. Fill in form and new SIM card received.
14/5 1722 Email from Celcom Customer Service stating order received.
14/5 1751 SMS from Celcom stating port request received.
15/5 1449 SMS from Maxis stating release of number.
15/5 1451 SMS from Celcom stating MNP success and standby for SIM swap notification.
15/5 ~1512 Signal lost from Maxis SIM card. Did not receive any notification to swap SIM card whatsoever. Swapped to Celcom SIM and start using.

It is indeed true Celcom fallback all the way to 3G whenever LTE signal is not strong (Maxis usually can tahan at H or H+, I don't think I've seen the 3G icon before  ). I only start to get LTE signal at Setiawalk by *#*#INFO#*#* and selecting "LTE/WCDMA Only". But so far so good outside from Setiawalk (that place notorious for bad signal, but Maxis can get LTE easily  )
