my friend in subang jaya reported getting H+ signals only as well. Not sure bout the speed and ping. Though its quite odd.. i thought subang area should be fully equipped with 4G.

Succesfully ported over from Maxis which submitted yesterday. Unfortunately didn't get LTE coverage in Bandar Utama / Aman Suria regardless of outdoor or indoor. sad.gif

how long needed till you receive the sms asking you confirm wanna port or not? which you need to reply?
*
No confirmation SMS was sent. Just got a call from their loyalty department yesterday to counter offer me. But I turned them down.

I just called Celcom helpline. They already raise an issue ticket to investigate why I'm not getting LTE signal. sad.gif and it requires a week for them to revert back

You need to download the LTE setting.
android phone~setting , more, internet setting.
I can get LTE at Subang/USJ.
I believe most of Klang Valley can get LTE.

For those who get the new sim, I advise you all download internet setting.
*
What is the APN setting that you are using?

bandar utama shld be lte stronghold.  try other phone and see got changes?

Just got a call from Celcom regarding to my complaint about not able getting LTE coverage and data signal fluctuating between 3G and H+ in Bandar Utama & Aman Suria. The fella said this rate plan capped the speed at 7.2Mbps as he double confirmed with the relevant product owners. I was like eye-rolling since most of the people using this plan got uncapped LTE speed now.

Hence, it is either they are going to cap it to 7.2Mbps, Celcom accidentally uncapped the speed or that fella gave the outdated info. blink.gif

Hi,

Just wanna share my experience doing MNP from Maxis to Celcom Basic 38 at Blue Cube The Gardens, Mid Valley.

6.30pm - Finished filling in the form & got my new SIM card. No advance payment needed.
7.37pm - Got SMS from Maxis stating they are acknowledging my request to move.
7.56pm - Received SMS from Celcom stating my porting request has been accepted & activation is in progress.
9.15pm - No longer able to received signals on my Maxis SIM. Changed to Celcom SIM & voila, my SIM has been activated.

I'm just one happy gal now~~~~ biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif

Similar experience I had at the Gardens blue cube. Just that it took 1 day to activate

mine also like that. 4g to 3g then suddenly to H+ then back to 3G then to E, especially indoors.

complain also no use
*
Yes, I also experienced the same symptom in Klang Valley. It seems like Celcom data signal is not stable, it fluctuates all the times. 4g <-> H+ <-> 3g <-> E. I also experienced a few times with no data signal, but fullbar on 2g (voice) signal. cry.gif

It is also noted that the indoor coverage is so so bad, and it is worse than Yellowman. I had another workline with Yellow, and its indoor reception is way better than Celcom albeit Digi is known as weak indoor coverage.

Come on Celcom, I believed you can do better than this.

i am using the yellowman network
for one whole month, i only used up 200mb
for whatsapp, facebook, messenger, browse internet
no download or stream youtube video...
it doesnt sucks much data but is wasted cannot carry forward.. i got 3gb data monthly

one question
4g, 3g or wifi will consume more battery consumption?
i heard 4g will consume more but is that true?
*
#my2cent To certain extent now that I believed Digi has the best data plans in terms of affordability and stability. The bad thing about Digi is that it has lesser coverage compared to Maxis and Celcom, and of course, cannot carry forward any unutilized data.

The problem with Maxis now is known with its rate plans that focusing on voice and 'neglecting' on data, and it is ain't cheap. This is the main reason why I ported from Maxis to Celcom.

On the other hand, Celcom has its weakness too. Albeit having the greatest (voice) coverage among all other telcos, its data network consistency and coverage seems to be falling behind Digi and Maxis. Well, I ported into Celcom because of CHEAP, the generosity of 3gb with the price and the ability to carry forward. biggrin.gif

oh i see.. if like that when my phone in standby mode, i better use 3g to save bit of battery
i was dilemma also when i choose data plan last time but finally i chosen digi
being using digi for years in Penang, everything is ok
just recently keep getting E inside my house... not sure why
last time inside my house can get 3g or H+
*
Digi is very well-known with its weak indoor coverage, and it is due to the higher bandwidth spectrum that Digi has. In your case, I suggested you lodge a complaint to Digi since you used to have better indoor coverage.

Nevertheless, I am getting frustated with Celcom by not being able to FB and Instagram. It works perfectly with WiFi, so i can rule out the possibility of APP problem. I have restarted my phone, but it does not help. Surfing website using Celcom is perfectly OK, so I really suspect the HIGH traffic to popular website/app is a problem with Celcom now.

Does anyone here experience the same issue?

i regret to change to celcom too ..
keep stuck at 3G... my house no line at all ..  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
will move back to maxis this weekend ...

I also think of porting out from Celcom, really the data connection is super not stable in KL/PJ/Shah Alam. I was from Maxis, but their current plan really not competitive as other telcos. SM50 with 2GB, whereas if Digi SP50 can get 3GB with free calls and SMS.

Finally, GreenMan countered back. Surfmore50 that comes with *additional 2GB*, which means in total of 4GB. BUT.. the additional 2GB only lasts for 6 months. The least sincere among others.

Finally kissed goodbye to Celcom, and it is on Yellowman 36 now. So far, the Data signal is far more stable than Celcom. Always LTE since this morning.
