Anybody know where can I sell extra spares of aqara h1 switches with neutral Malaysia set without losing too much of money? Last time bought too many of it and it’s still sealed.

QUOTE(celciuz @ May 1 2023, 04:21 PM) I’m using life smart motor so they do have a HomeKit hub 😁 but since RF it’s quite random at times. Broadlink rm pro is probably the easier option since you don’t need to deal with tuya cloud for tuya remotesI’m using HomeKit, recently just started with homebridge too. (Trying to figure out Tuya tsk). Broadlink has RF? Will check it out. Will test out the RM4 Pro, hopefully it works 😆. Would be nice if that hub has enough range for all fans around the house. Then I can leave the switch always on and use radio for controls instead. Turning on/off or setting the speed should be no issue. But it’s getting the current status can be a bit problematic. |

Recently bought some Sonoff (Itead) zigbee plugs, to expand my zigbee mesh.. hit and miss. The round ones, that look like the typical wifi smart plugs sold by Itead under the brand Woolley work with the Tuya hub, but 2 switches appear. However, they do route the zigbee mesh. Unfortunately, the Sonoff S26 (the larger type with a chin) do not work with Tuya Hubs, Both my Neo and Zemismart would not pick it up. So, had to buy a Snoff Zigbee Bridge to use them. |

QUOTE(dest9116 @ May 1 2023, 03:02 PM) I using D1 switches no neutral Funnily, i have alot of D1 switches (no neutral) and they never dropped off the zigbee mesh network. They are spaced out pretty far from the Hub, but my hub is att the center of the house. So i guess its pretty even coverage. Ur right the range is the shittest of all. I have to shift my hub to middle of house to make sure all working. Based on aqara app, I have a door sensor and motion sensor right beside the D1 switch and both are showing acceptable zigbee signal, but the switch is showing 100% poor zigbee signal but I have a aqara cube 2 meter even further away from the switch and it have better signal 75% poor signal. So meaning the aqara d1 switch is bad signal maybe because is no neutral so it must connect directly to the hub The funniest thing is, i also have a D1 Neutral, paired to another aqara hub ( and the aqara app). And even though it is pretty near to the hub, it would drop out and show offline now and then. Its pretty weird how aqara’s zigbee mesh works. Tuya ones are pretty solid so far, no dropouts if ever. |

Hi guys,
Great to see this thread is active and alive. I am planning to get my home renovated and plan to make it a smarthome as much as possible. Switches, curtains, AC, alarm and cctv. Found out that my new house came with Zwave ready.. And via an old (discontinued) model hub and it's connected to the home alarm system. *sigh*. Initial plan is to use all zigbee with HA but now have to put zwave into the mix. Need advice: 1) I don't think my plugs and switches has neutral lines. Should I get it all neutral-ed (cost issue) or just use non neutral switches? So far in my current test with non neutral is pretty OK. 2) zwave + zigbee... Only way to get them under the same ecosystem is via HA? Please do share ideas and tips since I'm going to reno. Thanks. |

Mine all China ones behind the switch is all Chinese wordings, if global one behind is English wording but more expensive. QUOTE(WildChai @ May 9 2023, 12:14 PM) Hi guys, Hi, take your time to explore, but my suggestion is buy from brand that will or already support matter. Zigbee and zwave is old news already, now is matter and thread. Thread will replace zigbee and zwave while matter will combine all supported smart devices to automate together.Great to see this thread is active and alive. Can Google and search which brand already commit to matter. For one, aqara already start to support matter. Another thing is try to have less wifi smart devices as possible, it's always an issue with the router, end up u need buy a better and more powerful router due to all the wifi devices, might as well get a hub right. Few post back someone shared they have 3 wifi routers coz all these and they still get disconnected sometimes. |

Had another Tapo P110 smart plug with energy monitoring failing.
First one was monitoring fridge. This one was monitoring my kettle. Previously my smart switches were failing one by one due to bad caps. Will warranty this one and once warranty is over, might open up and see why it fail. Suspect also caps failing. |

I have both P100 and P110. So far only P110 got problem. I think about a year. |

QUOTE(epicure @ Mar 24 2023, 02:10 PM) FP2 seems interesting. Saw lots of reddit threads on this. Pity its wired to a wall socket. I’m considering to get a mmwave sensor much like the FP1 and FP2, but from tuya, cos i saw one thats ceiling mountable, would look much neater, like a downlight. Not sure on the performance of it though. Pretty affordable at around RM160-ish without shipping. Did you manage to get the FP2? Also, where did you see that it was RM160 without shipping? |
