I previously asked in here what was difference between "Tuya" app and "Smart Life" app. Answer was along the line "they are the same."

Well, they are not.

"Tuya" is for use inside Mainland China.
"Smart Life" is for use outside Mainland China.

Hi need some advice and suggestion, sorry I didn't have time to browse through 500+ pages, went through 20 and couldn't find my answer lol

I have a simple smart home set up all using aqara and xiaomi into one app and for my auto gate it's using tuya smart.

I have porch lights and side porch lights that needs to have timer since I on it throughout the night. Thing is aqara smart switch is damn expensive 100+ per switch 3 gang and got chance will spoil also. So I'm considering those cheap non-zigbee smart switch for my porch and side lights and maybe even the gate globe lights. Can someone recommend me something that fits inside the switch box or small enough to fit inside the light housing so it's not visible?

Ps: hacked apk for mihome exist that allows many devices locked to mainland China region to work in Malaysia/Singapore server region. This allowed me to use China cheaper aqara/xiaomi devices with global ones without changing region all in one app. Problem is I can't add tuya inside since it's global

Hi all, wondering whether those regulator ceiling fan can be connected to Aqara h1 light switch as on off switch? I tried to connect it but it seemed like disable the whole switch. When I remove the fan, it seemed fine.

Had another Tapo P110 smart plug with energy monitoring failing.

First one was monitoring fridge. This one was monitoring my kettle. Previously my smart switches were failing one by one due to bad caps. Will warranty this one and once warranty is over, might open up and see why it fail. Suspect also caps failing.

Although I think what I remember from research in past is that such relays are for low ampere (10A), are there models meant for high-power appliances like air conditioner and water heater?

I have this lights powered by USB 5V... is there something like a smart USB switch? WHere I can on and off remotely?

I mean I could use a smart switch then put a adaptor and then cable... but thinking if there's already one in the market?

It is power source for my prayer altar... the lighting using USB 5V interface haiya.

So was thinking how to kinda on and off it remotely.
