Aqara switches are nice but they are pricey. I've never tried the updated D1 and H1 but the older model had a really nice tactile look and feel to the switch.

That said, the only benefit I see Aqara having over other platforms is that they have HomeKit support out of the box. You don't have to fiddle with Home Assistant or Homebridge to get your Home set up.

But if HomeKit isn't something you need, then it's hard to justify that price tag. Sure Aqara's switches may feel better to press, but with your smart home all set up, you probably won't be pressing them all that often anyway.

Isn’t there a tuya homebridge plugin? Allows to control tuya devices. Not sure how well it works since i don’t use homekit but at least you’ll save some money with tuya products

Just have it running on small linux machine running 24/7 (rm60 raspberry pi zero w 2) and you’re good to go

Now I’m curious if tuya smart lock are supported for this integration also since they’re not as expensive as aqara ones and comes in all door lock type.

Not recommended to use with regulator fan.
Induction load always kacau with non Neutral switch.
Else u need to use 2 gang type, 1st gang for resistive load, 2nd gang maybe can be use with fan.

Btw im not sure those Aqara type switch, as i mainly use sonoff switch.

Aqara has no neutral type, no need capacitor.

Your wiring has neutral cable right? If yes then should be no problem. I'm using D1 with neutral cable for my entire house (minus a few switches). So far all worked fine... weather it is ceiling fan, wall fan or exhaust fan in the bathroom.

Oh no, my fans are all remote control. No regulator box. Ugh, this one I'm not too familiar... my previous home I also using no neutral version with remote.

But generally... it should not "reset" the switch... maybe the taikors here with experience with regulator fans can advise better.

HI, I have aqara D1 3 gang switch non neutral, works with regulator fan kdk brand, fan is middle switch. Maybe you did the writing wrongly? My switch is before the regulator, meaning the live wire connect to the switch first only goes out to the regulator.

Are you using Aqara or perhaps using HomeKit? If using HomeKit, then I’m using Athom which I ordered from AliExpress. It’s a relay type, connect to the board and I tap power from the 12v battery. So far using a few weeks very reliable. Now I don’t need to bring remote out 😆 (only when power failure I guess or when internet is down 🤣).

It doesn't links with aqara tho, but I don't think I want my auto gate opening by itself via automation, it's for security after all.

This ia smart switch is 2 gang so you have 2 options. Inside your dcmoto motherboard you can usually have option to open both or open right or open left, so you can choose 2 options with 2 gangs, can refer to the user manual. Each option will have a positive and negative terminal. So you have a pair of live and neutral wire one side connect to the switch under normally open and another side is connect to the motherboard. So when it's normally open, the positive and negative not connected, when you press your app, it will close meaning positive and negative will connect and your auto gate will open, you can trial and test it won't spoil, remember to select inching mode in the app for each switch to 2 sec meaning after press 2 sec later will off the switch. The input you connect to the battery, so battery input to your motherboard and also splits to this switch. When house no power, you can still open your gate coz this switch support Bluetooth also. All my tuya switches can be controlled via Bluetooth so when thunder house trip, you no worry.

Anyways you can find something similar as long it's a switch for 2 gangs, if 1 gang then you can only control 1 function meaning open both side doors instead of 1 option open both, 1 option open right/left side. Mine I got from my auto gate installer, he teach me how to install coz that time my house no wifi yet, so he teach me instead. You can get from other brands also la but make sure the output have neutral and have normally open terminal

No need hub, it's using wifi, just use tuya smart app

Nope, I got mine from my aunt gate installer, but it's the same thing, not sure if that is the cheapest, maybe you can try search if there's any cheaper

Depends on your requirement, my gate is Dcmoto. It only has single input.. open both gates 😅 a bit stupid this thing.

One thing I plan to do in future is just connect a 4 channel to the remote. Then trigger remote so I can do left or right side or both.
