Mean I can just don't connect the current neutral wire?
I bought an Aqara M2 hub during 3.3. And currently looking to get Aqara E1 wall switch as this is the cheapest Aqara switch I found.

yeah.. no one locally has done it yet..
Thats pretty cool that even though IR, it can still have the current status of the AC. but i think i may not have time to tinker.. life being a big part of it. Oh well..

Yeah i did stumble upon konnected, but it seems like there are two options, basically either replace the actual panel, or add a panel onto the existing panel. Ill look into it further..

thanks!

That's what I did for my ac's at home since they're all older models with no wifi support, never thought about hooking up the ir receiver to the ac pcb buntil i saw that video.
No need to power the esp from another plug or ac status not in sync because someone using the remote

I do have like a really old alarm system, but I abandon it anyway since I've already installed all the aqara sensors when i started.

Better to be safe,
Btw, did you do a renovation to pull all the neutral wires or has it always come with the house?

I wasn't sure. But I think those neutral wires came together when renovation 10 years ago.

Good question. Don't think it's wire that no longer in use because still connected to current switch.

There’s the extra black cable but you said it’s connected to the switch? Connected to where? The Live portion?

Or is this for the 20A switches?

Yes, I’m using Aqara since Dec’22. So far so good, only got one switch not sure why it randomly kept flashing red. Had to reset and pair again.

Presently no, at least until tuya add thread/matter support (probably another year or so)

For the 20a
Use any aqara switch + contactor -> ac/water heater

Like Max does

There's no Neutral on that switch box.
in common wiring (local here/Malaysia) practice, coloured cable is Live usually. Neutral will be black.

all the 'looping' in one terminal is Live source from supply DB or from another looping in another switch nearby.
