Interesting topic. Need more topic here on smart home. My previous job involved with smart home as technical leader. We had completed 6 to 8 project for smart home and last one commercial property not completed as i resigned from the company. It's better to DIY than request company to do it for you. More cheaper and option is available.
which integrates solutions u deployed for your clients?
It depends on what they quote you. I didnt get that far into the quotation because i was in urgent need of the device, so ended up on taobao.com / shopee

How’s the shipping fee there? If alibaba i usually just have them ship to china warehouse to consolidate
Both ur smart socket blown by powering the water plant pump?
I honestly don't know why it is always this particular socket connected to pump that will malfunction. The pump is just odd 65W. Weekend home. I have it on smart wall plug so that I can have it activated both time-based and manually as necessary.

Might be ur pump pulling more current, or using with pump/motor/inductive devices, mess up the power supply module on the smart plugs.
As i know, motor/inductive is not suitable for some smart switch or plug.

I used hammer drill and vacuum cleaner on same-model wifi UK wall sockets I installed all over the residence... touch wood, so far no other wall in the house experienced 100% "blown".
that's 4 units of ~RM64/ea 😭
fed up. I put not-smart 13A socket and a digital timer device instead just for this.
Venting out my frustration on stability of "offline" Tuya sockets and switches. For purpose of venting, I will just collectively call all the Wifi Tuya sockets, switches, sensors ... as devices.
If any of us have any advice on achieving stable and continuous availability, I all ears to consider.
Sporadically through the week, random devices will become unavailable regardless for manual flip or for automation; either visibly offline in Smart Life app, or in the case with Deco phone app they'll appear to be not connected to the mesh.
Once offline, it will stay as such until an intervention is applied e.g. toggle the main MCB. This..is..frustrating, when the purpose of it having the devices in the first place is to manage the home when we're not there.
With the on-going issue of UK wall sockets "blowing" up, it causes anxiety when seeing "offline" as soon as each Monday, to wait for following Saturday to check what's going on.
I have experimented setting up mesh exclusively only for the devices. (1) 2 nodes, 1 SSID set up of Maxis' Huawei LG8245X6-10. (2) 2 nodes, 1 SSID set up of TP-Link' Deco E4R. (3) 3 nodes, 3 SSIDs set up of Maxis' Huawei LG8245X6-10.
If anyone do a scan of my site, they'll be horrified with the amount of radiation from 8-odd access point nodes (including for mobile, laptop, CCTV, non-home automation purpose).
So far, only the 2nd set up achieve the lowest number of offline devices.
I have restricted to only using 2.4GHz. I have disabled fast roaming. I have increased number of nodes, to "distribute the client load", thinking maybe there is max clients per node. I have increased SSIDs to "distribute the client load" as well. The devices does not seem to be able to jump to another mesh' node when the one it used to be connected to becomes unavailable i.e. i reboot specific node.

I have automation to simultaneously (1) zigbee AA battery-powered tap controller to fill water into a container and (2) run a ~60W submerged (aquarium) pump to drown Home Minister's collection of potted plants through a spiderweb of 4/7mm tube.
The pump is never dry. I have the tap controller coupled with a (3) zigbee leak sensor (to act as forced cut-off) placed slightly above a mechanical valve in order to make sure i don't overfill the container for the week-long i am not home.
I don't think it is capable of causing the socket to fry. More so when 2 of the sockets fried without even having any load; just happen to sit OFF on the same 2-gang.
Why not direct connect without the tank?
I use the Sonoff 24v to schedule time ON/OFF the solenoid that direct piping to the outdoor tap. Been run for 5yrs. Last yrs Sonoff controller spoiled and replace it.
My current house wall switch come with neutral wire. But I am moving to a condo where all wall switch don't come with neutral wire in next few months.
Is is possible I get a Aqara wall switch (no neutral) to replace my current house wall switch? As I just want to try it out, and bring it to my condo later.

Your current house already using smart switches requiring neutral wire? If you don't plan to pull neutral wire for the new house, you could just re-use those switch again with this trick

I have the Daikin airconditioners that have wifi built in. The type that uses the Daikin Go app. The app brings the aircon units to Google Home and alexa.
Does anyone know how to bring them into Homekit? I have tried so many Homebridge plugins.. but non of them work for the wifi adapter that we have here in malaysia. The ones that are overseas, the wifi adapter name starts with B, and ours here starts with A, specifically the AWM61A01.
And since i dont have (and dont intend to use) home assistant due to no extra raspberry Pi available (and also HA spooks me, haha), what other methods or plugins can i use to bring these Daikin units into Homekit?
Question 2:-
I have a Vivos Alarm system. Comes with the alarm panel, network interface module to use the vivos app remotely and the several sensors and siren connected via cables.
Does anyone know if this alarm system can be linked to Google Home or Homekit? This brand vivos is a malaysian brand... their app is pretty barebones. Would be nice to be able to integrate into either google home or homekit for automations.
My Homekit setup is pretty complete.. Aqara (natively), Sony TV (natively), Do Home (natively) , Sonoff + Ewelink (via homebridge), Tuya (via homebridge), xiaomi (via homebridge) , imou + Dahua (via homebridge), samsung (via homebridge).
All thats left is my Daikin Aircons... and my Vivos alarm system.

Any idea guys?
even with HA, our local Daikin AC cant be integrated into it. nobody creating integration for it, or maybe difficult or daikin doenst release the wifi encryption (something like that)

1. seems like nobody's making an integration for the cheaper wifi adapter and the overseas adapter way too expensive You can use something like this, flash with esphome or tasmota then use the homebridge plugin
This guy hooked up the esp to the ir receiver of the ac, so if someone was using physical remote you'd still get the current status of the ac

No, my house don't have any smart switch yet. And I don't plan to pull neutral wire for the new house. But I would like to try out smart switch now. Just wonder if I can get a no neutral aqara smart switch and install it in my current house or not.

Yeah i think i read something along the lines of this last year, when i was in the search for a solution. I was even considering HA, but in the end i came upon the HA forums, and no one managed to do it. I think its cos Daikin wants to lock users in with their subscription plan, which i have now, for free until 2026.

Yes you can, for cheaper option there’s also the tuya zigbee switches

2. Maybe you can check out konnected if supports your alarm system
yeah.. no one locally has done it yet.. Thats pretty cool that even though IR, it can still have the current status of the AC. but i think i may not have time to tinker.. life being a big part of it. Oh well..
Yeah i did stumble upon konnected, but it seems like there are two options, basically either replace the actual panel, or add a panel onto the existing panel. Ill look into it further..

Mean I can just don't connect the current neutral wire? I bought an Aqara M2 hub during 3.3. And currently looking to get Aqara E1 wall switch as this is the cheapest Aqara switch I found.
