So when TMNet say they are running out of bandwidth, what they are really saying is that they are running out of the bandwidth allocated for the users on the home packages. They do not reveal just how much spare capacity there is on the business lines. And based on my consistent performance, zero disconnections and totally reliable throughput, there is A LOT of excess capacity that they are choosing not to release to the home users.

Because of increased BT DL = increased piracy? The main diff between pirated copies and original copies are the quality. Some people wants quality(like me, got >300 ori audio cds)

NWK that happened to me on Saturday night though the speed burst only lasted 10 or so seconds - it happened a few times during the evening though.

boy, are you sure you know what you are talking or not??? Screamyx Enterprise doesn't have 3M package ok don't talk silly here the max they have is up to 2.0M only ok

Then maybe it is geographical. In my area, nothing is affected. Especially when I download from this particular server - six concurrent connections, and I max my bandwidth any time 24/7. If I started to see throttling I would cancel my account.

can you tell us what area you are in that is not throttled please and how much do you pay for your package a month?

I don't really want to give any details on specific location, in case someone is watching (you never know!). I pay RM688 a month.

Maybe thats why tmnet didnt throttle u cos u pay huge amount of money to them.

Yes but there are others on this thread who say they are on Corporate (which is MUCH more expensive than Enterprise, which is what I am on) and are getting throttled.
