Then maybe it is geographical. In my area, nothing is affected. Especially when I download from this particular server - six concurrent connections, and I max my bandwidth any time 24/7. If I started to see throttling I would cancel my account.

yesterday weird situation, line shuf be no prob, but dl speed <10kb [got seed shud hit nice speed easily], upload no problem >20kbps,

Something to say to everyone, I think IP 60.51 is NOT THROTTLED!
Well, atleast I do think so, I managed to download full speed Galaxy Angelune anime with 8 seeds and about 20 peers.

ip range does not affect throttling. we all know this a long time ago. you may be one of the lucky ones who just got unthrottled. please tell us, what area you are from?

i c i c. actually my account is barred. my fren borrow his dad office account or something like that. i think its the same with the standard 1mb, ip change everytime you dial but the speed is 2mb !! i checked on the modem page, download 2mb upload 512kb. cool huh ? is this type of account dont get throttled ?

if your download is stuck at 0 all the time. that could only mean one thing. you are throttled to high heaven. do you mind telling us what area you are in?

that TM Net takes feedback from customers very seriously, especially when it
relates to the quality of our services. 

We would like to inform you that TM Net is currently performing some technical
trials on our network system as part of our efforts to continuously improve our
products and services.  Regretfully, the trial exercise may have resulted in
some customers experiencing some slowness in downloading and/or surfing the
Internet. We are fully aware of this and we have taken all the necessary steps
to expedite the completion of this trial exercise.

Rest assured, TM Net has also taken all the necessary steps to minimize similar
disruptions in the future.

On the matter of p2p, we would like to reiterate that the p2p throughput is
subject to peers (seed) availability and their throughput.  Please note that TM
Net does not have any control over peers availability / throughput. 

We wish to highlight that as an Internet Service Provider, TM Net only provides
Internet access and does not guarantee content delivery and performance where it
is not within the domain of TM Net. As a matter of policy, our international
traffic management is designed to cater for all our customers so they have the
optimal surfing experience within the normal limits of Internet usage.

As our priority is positive customer experience, we hope to highlight to
customers that it is important for them to practice responsible usage of the
allocated bandwidth based on normal usage. 

We would like to reiterate that we are not against the use of p2p but we would
like to take this opportunity to educate our customers that the usage of
excessive p2p does impact the overall service availability to other customers.

We wish to also highlight to customers that TM Net provides each subscriber with
an allocated bandwidth to which other subscribers may use the allocation when
not used by others.  Unfortunately, the nature of p2p more often than not, takes
more than the allocated bandwidth, thus causing undue setbacks for other users
when they want to use the service.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.  As a
responsible service provider, we believe it is our responsibility and commitment
to educate and encourage responsible usage of the available infrastructure.

i know one guy in cyberjaya who is throttled for 2 months now. like i said before, you are one of the lucky ones who are not throttled. Some of us suspect that tm*nut is throttling by user accounts rather then by area. There are guys who are heavy BT users, find themselves throttled to high heaven. while on the other hand, guys who don't use BT so much, are not throttled.

it means you are throttled but i wonder why you are being throttled when i read in other thread that there are many users in penang who are not throttled. are you a heavy BT user before you were throttled?

mine still haven't got throttled.......last time not heavy BT user, nw frequently BT, but not 24/7 maybe 6-10hr per day............
