QUOTE(little-traveller @ Apr 11 2015, 03:11 PM) Hey guys wanna ask is this normal at the brakes????[attachmentid=4407017][attachmentid=4407019] How long have you had the car? I've had mine for 2 weeks now, been driving through puddles of water a lot (no choice), and no signs of rust on mine yet.

Only problem I've had with the car so far is that the passenger side vanity mirror keeps dropping out. The first time it dropped out was as soon as I removed the plastic from the visor.
At first I thought it was some secret compartment for cards or something but the more I think about it, the more I feel its loose or something is broken. Anybody else with this problem?

Going thought puddle of water won't have this problem, it is the long exposure to moisture after driving will make the disc brake rust, i.e. after parking at home at night and suddenly it rains overnight. After the rain, there will be a thin layer of brownish rust on the disc, but after you drive and use the brake, the rust will come off, and back to shiny disc. The brownish rust on the rim may be due to some water rolling off the disc and onto the rim.

Yes, disc brakes are made of cast iron, not stainless steel. Hence it will rust, but if I am not mistaken, for every 2 to 3 brake pads change, most probably the disc will be thin and need to be changed due to wear and tear. No worries about rusty/dirty brake disc, no need to clean. It is normal. If it ain't dirty, it ain't working. This post has been edited by RicoT: Apr 12 2015, 01:58 AM

same here, i believe it came from the inner part. When the road is straight and smooth there is no vibrating sound but once u going thru a bad road or bump u will hear it vibrate. seems like im not the only one facing this issue. Anyone else notice the vibrating sound here?
