Standard goodies that comes with the car upon buying: 1)Mazda woven sling bag(those that you use on a No Plastic Bag Day) 2)Emergency Box 3)Electronic Tyre pump( can use to pump basketball/football)
Things to get/bargain from Sales Advisor 1)Tinting voucher(price might have been inflated though) 2)Smart tag 3)Umbrella 4)Thermos 5)Mazda Rm30 bag(you can try your luck) 6)Cash rebate(you can try your luck) 7)FREE BODY KIT(might be limited offer)
What the Malaysian Mazda2 dont have compared to other markets? 1)No I-Eloop 2)No I-Active Sense 3)No Smart City Brake 4)No Signature LED headlamps and DRL 5)No cruise control
Why should you buy a Mazda2?
1) For it's price(RM88k), its the only car with a cool HUD that displays your speed including navigation that will appear on it(If you opted for the optional navigation) 2) The only car in it's class to feature a reverse camera as standard(in exception of Iriz and Myvi). 3) The only car in it's class to have engine idle stop(I-STOP) feature 4) Better fuel efficiency with it's higher fuel compression ratio 14.0:1 and efficient Engine/Transmission combo. (Traffic route: PJ Seapark KFC/Shell Station ---> Jalan 222------>Federal highway----->Oasis Square, Ara Damansara------>Jalan pelukis, Glenmarie------>Empire,Subang-----> Federal highway------> Jalan 222------->KFC) AVG SPEED:75KMph, 75% Highway 25% City, Driver: little-sama
(Traffic route: Klang to KLIA via NKVE and Elite) AVG SPEED:85kmph, 90% Highway 10% City, Driver:little-traveller
5) Unlike Toyota(Old vvti engine) or Honda(Old i-vtec engine Not Earth Dreams engine), the latest Skyactiv-G engine and 6-Speed auto trans are in place. 6) The exterior looks and interior looks is well balance and is a contender for the Miss Hong Kong crown inside out(with the LED it will be crowned immediately). 7) Paddle shift is available for you to play with unlike Honda's City/Jazz as well as Toyota. 8) Cool control knob like BMW's 9) Best looking gear knob that will anchor it to the Mr.Universe title. 10) Sport mode for you to play with. 11) Like a Ford Fiesta, it has Voice control for the MZD connect. 12) Mazda offer Free 3 years service. 13) Have a go with it's handling. 14) Got Walk-away autolock feature
What will stop you from buying this beaut?
1) Small interior space(Rear passenger space). Ridiculously small for a 4metre-long car. Its a front wheel drive car but yet it has a huge bump(its a really huge bump) right at the center of the rear passenger seat. 2) Resale Value and maintenance. Not as good as Toyota and Honda in almost all aspects. 3) No ash tray for you to put coins. Only 1 glove box, 2 Cup holders, and 1 bottle compartment on each side of the front doors. At the back, you only get a pocket pouch on the front passenger seat for you to place magazines and etc. 4) Aircon is not as good as Proton and its not very pleasant when I-stop activates. 5) MZD connect has no mirror-link feature that is available on a Honda. 6) Might get irritated and must get use with the 6-speed auto. It's abit slow to react but when it does it does(Mazda purposely made it so for better fuel consumption). 7) No armrest 8) Only 2 airbags(for those safety cautious drivers out there) 9) No cruise control(for those who wants everything in the market) 10) Engine noise inside the car is great but not so for rain noise. The rain noise is bad. 11)Only 3 years warranty against Honda/Ford's 5 years warranty
Basic FAQ 1) Car only has 1 rear fog light on the right cheek for HB. For Sedan its right at the center. 2) I-stop can be turned off upon starting up the car(Must turn off everytime you start your car) 3) Switching your gear to N will sometimes activate I-STOP 4) I-STOP will not activate whenever you Full Blast your aircon fan speed / 18 degrees celcius, steering is not straight or signal light is on. 5) Sedan's remote key has extra button to open the boot. No such feature for HB. 6) HB has rear wiper. No such feature for Sedan. 7) Interior space for HB and Sedan is the SAME 8) Sedan has more boot space but less practicality for parking against HB. 9) Sedan's rear light doesn't have the same cool LED light like Mazda 3. Its just an ordinary shiny chrome red paint inside. 10)No autolock feature. There isnt any button for you to lock all doors as well. Have to lock all doors via the driver's lock. 11) In case you need to replace your Tyres, http://www.goodyear.com.my/tyre_details.asp?tyre_code=exec
Stuff to inspect upon before signing off to receive your car 1)HUD Snowflake cracks
0 to 100kmph for 1.5 Skyactiv-G HB by Youdontknowmyname

in my previous car (swift), I modded alot of stuff, the sound system was the best of all and it sounded really good, suspension and rims all made the car look good too. But what it also did it made the ride harsh, the wear and tear of anything to do with the suspension or the bush, the engine mounting, and everything that is movable deteriorated over time as well. In that 8 years I own that car and when I sold it - I compared to my brother's myvi which was stock and the ride was so much comfy cause... nothing was touched.
Performance mod only for people who have the money to maintain and know what they are doing. ICE and styling is more for laymen people like myself.
