any example on that? what i just saw were all easy transform and low quality junk.
As mentioned the simplified transformation is to cater to younger audiences. Apologize if this sounded bias but isn't G1/G2 Transformers also spot some simple transformation as well ? I notice that most people dislike more about the cartoony aesthetic instead rather than the toy which they are based on. The new RID 2014 line of toys though simple spot some very interesting design elements. For instance Deluxe (ahem... Warrior) Class Grimlock transformation is somewhat based on his traditional toy design where the robot arms becoming the dino legs and the robot legs becoming the tail with the dino head flipping over from his back

(Just wish that his size could be bigger

). A lot of people are also surprise that Bumblebee turn out to be a good figure despite it's simplicity eventhough character wise I think he resembles more towards Hot Rodimus/Hot Shot/BM Cheetor. I'm really looking forward to the RID Optimus Prime figure as very seldom we get a fully transformable OP with the trailer incorporated as part of the transformation to robot form

. They are actually not that bad once you play around with them

.

the only redeemable figure from bayformers is rotf LC OP. that's about it that caught my interest. the line that really rekindled my TF interest was alternators and MP. michael bay has nothing to do with it

. i wish there were more alt/BT to choose from before the discontinued it.
as for the recent animated cartoons, i'd sooner buy something from galaxy force.
these days, it seems that the figures that attracts me are from generations, that did not come from the movies or animated series. i'm already picky when buying TF, now given a small list to pick from, it's

. the last i bought were spirnger and sandstorm, and i think those 2 were great. sized nicely with alternators too.

Well... Sideswipe is quite a good looking figure as well as some of those non movie appearance TF (e.g. Landmind, Brawn, Breacher, Lockdown (RTS), Bludgeon...etc) just to name a few.
I'm actually referring to all the animated series in general as not pinpointing only towards the RID 2014 series. Animated Blurr for one and the TFP line of figures in general are in my book some very well made figures. Eventhough they don't incorporate complicated transformation mechanism such as ROTF OP not to mention some of them are even somewhat simplified but they serve the purpose and fit persona of the character which they are based on. This is what made them interesting to me.
Again it all depends on personal preference. Some like them realistic, some like them cartoony while some (like me) may prefer something in between. Whatever the case I am at the moment still very interested in the Transformers series and eager to see what interesting TF designs manufacturers (be it HasTak or 3rd Party) can come up with.
