for the price diff from 245 (copperhead) vs 115 (krait) (moderno prices) is alot difference ... but the performance isnt much apart .. just that copperhead can go 2000 dpi which u dont need and the krait can go 1600 dpi ... lol ... im using krait in all the games i play .. its a good overall mouse ...
my 2 cents ... This post has been edited by Diran Hans: Sep 30 2006, 11:00 PM |

I think, it depend on the user loo...
If he's an extreme gamer, then he should get that kind of gaming mouse... For instance, like counterstrike, yes, u need a good mouse to get the best out of the game... More than 800 DPi to be used is best for that kind of games... |

dude ... i prefer u to get either the LEGENDARY MS IE3 mouse or LOGITECH MX518 ...
for mousepad .. it depends on u whether u like hard(funC1030) or cloth(everglide titan) ... about mouse's DPI .. dun worry ... the best mouse is the mouse that u feel great while holding it ... FPS oni need around 400-800 DPI ... for RTS ... a 1000+ is more than enough ... juz to share out my opinion ... |

none of the professional cs players use copperhead
it sux to e core bcoz it doenst give a real grip than just good technical specs in it i say go for something comfy that fits ur hand and with good decent specs why not the logitech mx518 or g5 choosing a mousepad requires alot of research whether u want a smooth surface which is meant for high speed or grip surface which more or less cloth pads u need teflon speeds for plastic pad to preserve the surface or it will be flat in no time |

you gotta look into nice pads that will give u consisten control so u dont have to adjust ur sensitivity all the time
get use to it or something u dont need it to be expensive or expensive if u like i would spend 50-70bux on a giant cloth pad which helps |

I consider spending on a mouse, keyboard and monitor to be paramount above all others, heck it's the PC's HID, i rather spend less on some graphics card than stick with some mouse which reminds me of a rolling stone on my table.
Conclusion is, to me. Yes, i can't live without really fast and accurate mice. Plus with the resolutions i work in, 800 DPI takes ages to get to the other side of the computer screen dei. |

krait is good enuff, but i have the feeling that actually, Microsoft mouse is probably better. because i have the old MicrosoftintellimouseExplorer 3.0, and even though it's an old version it's way more comfortable than my NEW Krait.

If teflons are used in making the mouse feet, then is it better if we use teflon to make the mouse pads? My dad is selling teflons to industrial companies, perhaps that might make a good mousepad for me as both the feet and mousepad uses the same materials + they are smooth.

few of my frens who use razer diamondback also having da same problem several times. cuz of that, i don hav confidence with razer mouse.. or maybe my fren really pro n the mouse cant withstand fragging lots of enemies everyday lol |

QUOTE(mooze @ Sep 30 2006, 03:55 PM) yo,i interested in spending serious cash in new gaming mouse n pad.. never tried any of the expensive mouse yet, could anyone tell me ur experience? i`m like addicted to upgrading n filling up empty spaces(RPG/FPS/RTS player,go figure). luckily i only own gaming laptop(some more oredy upgrade 2GB,rm500),if i got desktop, more money down da drain..hehe well, personally i think it is a necessary for a gamer to own a gaming mouse. after i use 2000dpi laser mouse with programmable buttons, i feel that my gaming skill has improved alot .. really worth it to spend some money to upgrade to a gaming mouse so short story, recommend me i should get or not? which model(if possible)? http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f=21&t=271111 |

I have a Copperhead/Diamondback (Plasma) and I bought a new Gigabyte Laser mouse. I think I prefer the Gigabyte! C&G (Cheap&Good)!
Paid RM94 (after conversion from S$) from Sim Lim Square for the Gigabyte. This post has been edited by Razzd: Oct 20 2006, 02:14 AM |

QUOTE(iZuDeeN @ Oct 26 2006, 06:41 PM) to all who contemplate to spend RM300++ for keyboard & mouse, I suggest you save up the money and upgrade the GFX card or to 2GB ram... the gc and ram pricing is not static or stable. it fluctuates alot. and they are prone to be obsolete. if you spent a rm300 kb or mouse, you'll be using it till it breaks. personally i think its the least thing ppl would change and even if they do change often, its not comparable to the duration of gc and ram change. even today,, we still see alot of ppl using mx duo.there's no point having leet mouse/keyboard but still have to play games at med/low settings... i think g15 has the best gaming innovation. interms of design it might suck a bit. saitek eclipse 2 is good looking, but its too futuristic and not presentable. i remember one forum changed his g15 because some chick commented his G15 was utterly ugly. well, i'm a die hard fan of logitech and somehow they have made good products. gigabyte has just emerge, while saitek and razor has been in this gaming peripheral industry for quite sometime. in the future, i think there will be more gaming peripherals fighting to dominate the industry, just like those days when gc and speakers were competing. |

QUOTE(davidsk2002 @ Oct 27 2006, 12:29 AM) Hi, there's no absolute answer to this. You really ought to try both to compare which one you like. as for the general tips, if u like weight adjustables/heavy mouse, go for G5. If you like light and blink blink light mouse, go for copperhead. Both mice have very close specs. I find the on-the-fly sensitivity plus DPI adjust (if u macro it) for copperhead, very useful in games. while the G5 only has on-the-fly DPI switches (if i am not mistaken). The copperhead has very good and balanced design while G5 has the egornomic feels but some say the scroll wheel is located in a weird place. My friend said he is satisfied with his G5 tho, while I feel the same for my copperhead. So it is up to you.i would like to ask compare Logitech G5 and Razer Copperhead. which one is better for FPS game?? thank. This post has been edited by SpikeTwo: Oct 27 2006, 11:06 PM |

QUOTE(jyunkin @ Sep 30 2006, 10:16 PM) dude ... i prefer u to get either the LEGENDARY MS IE3 mouse or LOGITECH MX518 ... Highly agree with both the mouse this guy recommends. I own both those mouses, and they are superb. But i prefer higher dpi, 1600 is sufficient for me.for mousepad .. it depends on u whether u like hard(funC1030) or cloth(everglide titan) ... about mouse's DPI .. dun worry ... the best mouse is the mouse that u feel great while holding it ... FPS oni need around 400-800 DPI ... for RTS ... a 1000+ is more than enough ... juz to share out my opinion ... |

Nonid to feel feel test test 1 lar. When buying a mse for gaming, just go buy the most expensive 1 u like n can afford. After that it's all about getting used to it n adapting ure style of play to the new mse. When I bought my G5, I thought it'll be easy to adapt to it coz I also have an MX510. Same shape n same company I figured. But it's a totally different animal the G5. Mega 2000dpi is incredible. I cudn even aim at any1 in CSS for the 1st 2 days. The cursor was just toooooooooooo FAST. HAhaha. Then the weight is also a lot heavier than the MX510. Hand feels tired coz of that. So, just get what u think is best n u can afford, try it few days. If really dont like it, there's always the ever helpful LYN Garage Sales for u to sell it off n try another 1.

BF2142, grenade default is '7'.Help me out here!!!!! and i got no more keys around WASD left to bind. so i bind grenades to one of my left side buttons. krait if i not mistaken middle button is for on-the-fly adjustment. copperhead/diamondback is one of the side buttons, so i use my middle button for voip. so yea, the side buttons is very useful |

Just got myself an A4Tech X-750F 2500 DPI laser gaming mouse for S$40. 2500 DPI is too fast for me. Had to turn the setting down to 2000 DPI.

is it market or izit freeze problems?
razor mouse tends to freeze when used without firmware..if u using it at home ok lah.. but if u kinda terney type peepz, sure thing you cannot install any firmware into the terney pc.. CS clan as SK using Intelli 1.1 eventho they were sponsored by Razer.. wonder why? |

nah, they used everglide pads i think.
razer has a big share in everglide. btw, you cant force a pro player to just change mouses. especially those who been using the IE3 mouse for a long time, completely different shape. guess thats why now the habu is out, and soon a razer mouse based on the same shape. |

even some pro gamers still stick to normal optical mouse n dun use laser tech yet.. well then.. to all other that want to have a new gaming mouse.. wait for habu to arrive lah.. then we'll see how it perfom.. coz it still run on razer engine.. hope the laser engine improve a lot.. FYI lots of my frenz that likely tergoda wiff Razer advert buy the DB n CH.. unfortunetly.. 2,3 of them suffer freezing..one of them is drcopy, his nick ere i think.. he also bought the 2nd one thinking the first one was a minor faulty mos.. but then same probs happen.. lastly he buy MS3.0.. seem look fine.. probs finally detected.. install the firmware first or u'll end up like my fren.. lol me? just stick to old MX518.. n everglide titan.. don really like the mantis speed.. too smooth n fast while the mantis control feel like rubber even i like the surface speed one thing for sure.. from a forum i read today.. it not the hardware u use, not the setting, but it all in ur mind.. deep one lah.. think2.. |

the IE3.0 bulk is pretty expensive, RM180.
and well, someone posted that mygomall.com is selling it at RM139. i think i might get one myself from mygo then hmm, now i comparing the specs. its heavier than diamondback, and its 400dpi. means if i get it, all my sens settings need to be adjusted and by alot. My Logitech MX-518 Gaming-Grade never failed me. I love the on-the-fly sensitivity changing thing. Coz can change from high sensitivity machine gun, to medium sensitivity shotgun and low sensitivity sniper....sweet..., plus it's perfect for my oversized hands...

More important to have the higher DPIs coz that will allow you to move your pointer across the screen in a short swing of ur wrist. I used the diamondback for only 2 days, when i switch back to normal optical ones, it was like taking ages to reach the other side of the screen. Never regret getting the gaming onces. Its also good for designing coz can most very very little steps and get the point that you want, especially in autocad and solidworks.

mx518 has exact same sensor as diamondback.
difference is in the drivers. if not mistaken logitech only has dpi adjustment, and no sensitivity. razer has both. This post has been edited by Everdying: Nov 30 2006, 06:34 PM |

just that i thought ppl usually see the mouse dpi but never heard b4 sensitivity. So when comparing Diamondback and MX518, i tot both have near similar spec, but never realize MX dont have sensitivity adjustment.
Then wat's the conclusion? Diamondback or MX518? |

the sensitivity usage is really depends on your personal preference. u can live without it if u havent used any sensitivity adjustable mouse before.
u can get diamondback if u like more lights bling bling on your mouse. while mx518 has more traditional looks on it. if u cant made up ur mind, i say get diamondback. dont ask me why. |

I'm using Krait and Copperhead, very reliable and precise too. Not only good for gaming alone, they're highly recommnded if you're using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Quarkexpress, AutoCad etc.

I understand A4tech stuff aren't that desirable but can you explain exactly why is it lousy? In what parts? Does it skip? Is it because the grip isn't good? Or does it look sucky?

I'm using the Razor Viper(which i believe is essentially still the case for the Krait) and i see that it's given me no problems so far....,In defense of the A4tech tough....,i find it to be a pretty darn good brand as well...,no issues whatsoever......
Razor's-for guys with rather small palms... Logitech's-for guys with bigger palms A4tech-medium sized palms And before you guys start defending the respective brands, let me say that it's safe to stereotype as they are all built according to a reference design(that each respective company keeps improving on...) that's essentially the same except of course for the odd experiment that more often than not fails.... |

Can buy Razer Krait and Diamondback leh, even with Krait, I cant play GRAW online deatmatch games without any hiccups. Very responsive even though many people taught that it was a low end gaming mouse but it's not try, try one and you'll know what I mean.

QUOTE(z3r0717 @ Dec 3 2006, 06:50 PM) haha.. sm1 agrees with me.. Welcome DestructiveHanD.. hahahah Actually I just bought a MX518 today... Was deciding between the G5, 518, Copperhead and the Habu.ouh u r wrong... Razer's diamondback and copperhead is for larger palms.. AND wen did brands came up with different palm size? i mean small for razer , logitech for bigger palms.. Where got such thing. nonsense.. If everyone has small palms all get razer then the other companies will be broke.. And since I have rather large hands..I feel that the Habu's the most comfortable while the Razer's really too small/shallow for my hands. Gotten the 518 cos.... eventhough the shape's really comfortable for me but the Habu is really fugly |

my opinion is, laser technology mouse is still not developed enuf, it skip sumtimes and it has issues using with sum surfaces.
optical is still the best in my opinion. razer just introduce a new optical mouse with Microsoft IntelliExplorer 3.0's shape. Cant wait for this baby. This is my dream came true. |

In my opinion, the Razer high precision mouse is really easy to use and it looks cool too.
I like the optical ones, but yet to try the Laser units. I'll have to wait longer to afford the Copperhead, so that's y I bought the diamondback first. Mayb another 3 months I might get a new Copperhead. hehe Then new DeathAdder is cool. Can't wait for it too. |

need some recommendation guys. i want to change my 2 year old MX510 bcoz the rubber grip at the sides are wearing off.
i'm looking for a mouse with similar size (i haf big hands), performance & price to the MX510 but does not haf rubbers sides coz obviously they'll wear off again. so MX518 is out of the question. any other recommendations? REMEMBER SIMILAR SIZE, PERFORMANCE & PRICE of the MX510. thanks! |

you're out of luck if you dont want a mouse with rubber sides.
the only good choice i guess is the microsoft IE3.0 mouse, RM130+. but its only 400dpi so you need to readjust your settings. |

what about a4tech mice? yeah i know they're inferior compared to the elite brands but if it fits my criteria, i wouldn't mind. they're cheap too |

It will wear out faster if you have sweaty hands and if your mouse is placed near the window, with direct sun in the afternoons. A lot of factors can affect the rubber grip wearing off but no matter what, tear and wear is expected, even my PS2's dual shock analog sticks have worn rubber too but I didn't bother to replace them.

I have used Mircosoft Wireless Optical 3000 before, it's quite an okay mouse, one battery could last at least a few months if you're using an alkaline battery, no complaints though. Of course, the Optical 5000 is a much better one. You won't regret buying it but make sure you feel comfortable using it because people with bigger palms might prefer getting those mouse from Logitech and Razer.

actually depends on the mouse sensor.
some mouses you can feel the sensor lagging, especially if you play low sens and drag the mouse very fast. cheaper mouses the cursor even skip like mad when you do that. |

i'm planning to get a new mouse as my current one has been worn off badly due to long term of usage. i'm eying on G7, mx1000 and mx3000. i think mx 3000 would suits me as it comes with both laser and AA battery replacement. any comments on the other 2 mouse? cause i heard the battery of those li-ion has a low duration time.

QUOTE(Naota-kun @ Dec 5 2006, 03:29 PM) need some recommendation guys. i want to change my 2 year old MX510 bcoz the rubber grip at the sides are wearing off. personally..i suggest u go try out the mouse and see which is comfortable while using, not just placing ur palm on it..actualy i suggest u stick with mx series and get mx518..but u hav issues wif the rubber sides..the sides of my 2year old mx500 din really bother me much..another big mouse is ime3.0 or ime4.0..i first used mx500 then i bought a krait..being so used to mx500 , krait is a bit small and low for me though its tracking is good and i just sold it today at the garage sales..if u control ur mouse just using fingers,i suppose krait will be ok and its damn cheap for a 1600dpi mouse..but if u control using ur palm too, get big ones which are the mx shapes or ime3.0..u can consider diamondback, its a wee bit bigger than krait, but im not sure by how much..and copperhead is off ur budget i guess?by the way, the laser technology not so stable yet..and i dun think u need 2000dpi..i would say mx518 or ime3.0 or ime4.0..anyway, just get a mouse u r comfortable with..like mentioned b4..worst case(like mine) : if u r not happy with ur mouse, there is always the lowyat GARAGE SALES !! gotta love it ! i'm looking for a mouse with similar size (i haf big hands), performance & price to the MX510 but does not haf rubbers sides coz obviously they'll wear off again. so MX518 is out of the question. any other recommendations? REMEMBER SIMILAR SIZE, PERFORMANCE & PRICE of the MX510. thanks! |

QUOTE(Vervain @ Dec 12 2006, 10:29 PM) i'm planning to get a new mouse as my current one has been worn off badly due to long term of usage. i'm eying on G7, mx1000 and mx3000. i think mx 3000 would suits me as it comes with both laser and AA battery replacement. any comments on the other 2 mouse? cause i heard the battery of those li-ion has a low duration time. If you want G7, go for the black carbon edition on the left. Looks very cool. ![]() This post has been edited by mikelee: Dec 17 2006, 08:55 PM |

just switched from a normal logitech optical mouse (dunno what model i think it's about 5-6 years old one working until now) to a G7. tottally dunno how to use. the optical sensor on my old mouse was near the palm area, slight lower a bit. the G7 sensor is nearer to my index finger. affected my aim a lot. hehehe
now gotta get used to it |

It depends man.....,both the Krait and Mx518 on a 1600dpi sensitivity....,my hands are bigger so i prefer the Mx518 but i'm using the older viper(1000dpi) which is
in fact suited for smaller hands and it doesn't really bother me either.....,i'd say go for the Mx518..... This post has been edited by tatayoung: Dec 26 2006, 12:54 AM |

how long does it takes for the rubber on the sides (the place where your thumb grips) of MX518 to wear-off? IMO, MX518 looks ugly. but it has extra buttons that krait doesn't have.

If you are really a serious gamer, go for Razor brand mouse. It is quite expensive, but definitely the best gaming mouse ever (response are fast, precise and sharp)...

Copperhead is good for gamer, but easy spoil....(Click button L/R)
krait still ok..... , Habu got a big problem with driver. death adder is 1800dpi (3G infrared sensor technology) btw, who know the price of Habu & Death Adder Heard rumour, that Habu Cost RM 500++, is that true .? Habu got 3 yrs warranty from Microsoft.. coz every Microsoft Hardware it come with 3yrs warranty. |

Habu is just slightly more expensive than Copperhead.
Habu driver prob can be solved by using the Copperhead ones also. and Death Adder should be cheaper than Copperhead, whenever it gets released here. |

You probably never bothered to try out the good mice, of course you're satisfied. Ball mice sucks so hard that I lost the interest of staying at the comp if I had to use it. YES IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE - like using c2d 2gb ram vs pentium3 550mhz 128mb ram. Try getting one and use it for 1 week. Then tell me again that you're a satisfied ball mouse user. |

So Glad to buy the Logitech MX518 for RM104 only. Found out it's a year end 25% discount on selected Logitech products that time.
I didn't visit this forum when i buy the mouse, was quite worried i did buy the wrong mouse lol. Previously I was using the A4Tech office 8k mouse, which appears to have the SAME EXACT design as Logitech MX518(copycat A4Tech lol). Liked the design very much~Big & curvy compared to the other creative laser notebook mouse i bought~Too small and my hand got tired of using it eventually. HOWEVER, my old A4Tech mouse got a bit sot sot after one year of using it. Wanted to buy the same exact mouse but felt the quality is not that reliable. Until i discovered the Logitech MX518 during my visit to All IT. Exactly the same design with extra functions and it's Logitech. Ask one of the malay staff there(seems to be the pro) and he said: "Sudah manyak mouse ku jual, Nak quality pakai Logitech, colour tak fade punya pun. A4 Tech tu fancy stuff je, murah tapi kejab dah banyak problem, TAIWAN product tuu. Razer also not bad, but sekarang logitech ada offer lol" Made up my mind to buy Logitech. Thought of G5 and even the MX REVOLUTION or something too but thought thrice. Instead of buying the fancy stuff, why not i buy the reliable ones and just change it after some time. MX Revolution = three MX518 lol.... So after some survey i decided to buy Logitech MX518. Nice design for my big palm, cheap (Rm104) and reliable. HOWEVER, All IT punya MX518 was sold out that day, aiyoyyo. No choice but to survey through the other shops. Saw one shop display it then i try to ask the price and he said RM139, i mentioned that Logitech has 25% official discount offer on the model but he said priced fixed......What the heck! Logitech giving 25% discount and he said price fixed. Wanted to complain to logitech so that they cannot sell the products anymore. sigh..... So continue searching and ends up at SRI COM. I didn't know this particular shop got so many complaints until i visited this forum. Price they offer for MX518 is RM104, fair and i was surprised to see soooooo many available stocks. Tot may be their shop location not good(Right at the end of one corner) so not many ppl know as compared to All IT. Without hesitation i buy the mouse from SRI Com. Only to found out that they provide 3 months warranty only What a service they have. So lanci. Anyway, no choice that time so i bought my beloved MX518 from them. Only to realised I've made a good selection to buy MX518 but from the wrong shop. And get to know that I'm not alone facing the problems at Sri Com from this forum. haha This post has been edited by qiyi: Feb 14 2007, 06:14 AM |

For a budget of RM 120 and below, the MX518 is most suitable solution.
But, I'll recommend you to dig up another 30 bucks or 40 bucks to get the DiamondBack, then at least you'll get a good mouse for CS. |

QUOTE(InLove @ Feb 23 2007, 04:26 PM) promotion should have ended. Those shops which still got stocks might still sell to you at that promotion prices. Now it's back to RRP: @RM 139.00. To Aoshi_88: The budget includes other stuffs or just for ur mouse ? Coz RM 650 is kinda overkill for a mouse. If you can afford, get the latest DeathAdder. BTW, habu should have been available in Malaysia market. Supplier said it has been released here, but I've yet to see any1 noticing it. Any owners yet ? Mind to share some review ? |

Not going for the Copperhead as i still need the money for some other hardware. supposed to be more fine tuned for FPS. copperhead to me has better feel, and i have no probs using it. so you have to go try both mouses see which one fits your style better. so RM650 must be your ang pow money rite? mouse is only below RM200. I wanted an affordable mouse for use in office when I work, went to All IT in Digital Mall PJ to take a look see. Was gonna get a Wireless Intellimouse Explorer since I figured the tilt wheel was good for work, but in the end, got the MX518 for RM109 instead.
So far, impressions are very good. Ergonomically, I think my MX1000 is much more comfortable. However, the DPI selector on the MX518 is more useful that I originally thought. It's good to be able to ratchet down to 400dpi to get better precision when doin Photoshop work. And I ended up programming the 2 side buttons as left and right scroll to replace the functionality of a tilt wheel. All in all, very satisfied with it. The only complaint is that similar to my old MX700, the mouse doesn't sit flat, I can rock it side to side slightly so that's fairly annoying at first. |

QUOTE(the_registered @ Mar 9 2007, 07:10 PM) Thanks for your input. I heard a lot of good kickbacks for logitech mx518. What are their prices? (razer and mx518) razer krait averages around rm90+ 1600 dpi, relatively small size, light, 3 buttons logitech mx518 goes for bout rm138 1600 dpi, well sized, 5 buttons excluding the on the fly dpi switcher. the dpi switching on the mx518 is firmware based, so you dont have to install drivers to switch dpi on the fly. im not sure whether the krait needs drivers to switch dpi on the fly, but considering it only has 3 buttons i believe you have to install drivers. |

all razer mouses need the drivers for on the fly.
without drivers, all razer mouses perform at max dpi and theres nothing you can set. |

Yup, MX518 is comfortable too. But compare to DA, DA is more natural comfort due to its contour in the mid.
MX 518 is resting the palms more to the side. I personally felt sweaty when using it. DA materials are more comfortable.............. but not used to it yet cos its lighter than MX518. Now, miss the DPI button on MX518.......... Ya, DA can set the side buttons to DPI, but............ often used the side button for Windows Forward & Back. Overall MX 518 is a good mouse for starters. just went to check on razer site
quoted from razer official site Powered by Razer Precision(tm), the new 3G infrared sensor on the Razer DeathAdder lets you move 2.25 times faster when compared to a standard 800 dpi optical sensor. for CH 2000 DPI Laser Engine Powered by Razer Precision(tm) seems to be slightly diff,3g infrared sensor is 3rd gen infrared sensor, there's slight diff in dpi,but when come to performance, not sure which works better offtopic : saw this on DA's site ![]() |

QUOTE(awyongcarl @ Mar 11 2007, 05:02 AM) Sure about this? dont confuse on the fly and DPI switching.I thought the Razer's mouse On the fly is based on firmware? Cause that day I went to Cyber cafes and it works -.- the firmware stores only the DPI and polling rate. i've brought my mouse to enough competitions/lan sessions to know the on-the-fly doesnt work with my copperhead / diamondback. which makes it a slight struggle when moving from foot to certain vehicles in-game. as for CH / DA debate. simply put, the DA sensor is an upgraded one found in the DB. the DB meanwhile, was the mouse recommended by razer to razer endorsers for FPS games. that time CH was out also, but DA of cos not out yet. but between DA and DB, i say just go for which feels better, cos one is obviously strictly for right handers and shape might feel funny for those used to symmetrical shaped mouses. both are good enough for FPS. DA's squeekin and thin mouse feet issue solved yet? and as from my experience from Copperhead double clicking issue, i dont really fancy razer stuff anymore. now looking at the new G5. the only bad thing is that it doesnt has on-the-fly sensitivity control. the DPI control is too huge the difference. (800dpi to 2000dpi).
hmmm... |

diamondback dunno.
and my copperhead has been fine for almost 1 1/2yrs now. i also wont be able to use any other mouse properly now since im dependent on the razer on-the-fly sensitivity for games. |

yeah....the on the fly is the only strong point now.
btw, my double clicking problem, like i mentioned in razer thread (hoping for it to go away in a few days, since i read some reviews ppl are having the same prob for a few weeks). well, it did. but i dont know when it will come back. LOL...i hope it wont. if i were to get a logitech mouse, the G5 will always be the highest contender. esp the new G5 which looks cool. yeah, that's what i mentioned bout the DPI switches. 400-800-2000. the range is too huge. razer's on the fly sensitivity is by 0.5 increment. |

maybe it's just me, but gaming mouse stays in the same group as physX card and Sound card. Just get any decent optical/laser mouse from logitech, and a good mousepad. Unless if you compete for money, that's a different ball park. |

nah. if u aint play games much, of course a decent mouse would be enough. i personally feel the difference between my CH and creative 800 dpi mouse (RM60 <-- decent?).
my clicks are registered correctly, and my movements stop when i want it to stop. i only test the mouse with CSS. and my frags are better. maybe u could call it was an illusion, mentally...but if the result could lasts for more than 6 months, it became reality. and sound card is also subjective. some people can just enjoy music with 2 speakers without bass. and i cant live without a sub woofer. for me, without sound card, the sound feels like crap. it is totally a different level of personal taste. |

what is the topic name for razer mouse discussion/problems? thnks
wht r the latest price for DA and CH current date. any known problm to date regarding tis mouse esp DA? if so, can use the 2 or 3yrs warranty? i really lik the design, -smart blue. gonna be my first gamin mse if i ever buy it so im very wary if i invested in a wrong thg-problematic quality mouse- ilb heartbroken... the DA 1800dpi 3g IR is in the same measuring unit wit CH 2000dpi right, (if not it wud b lik comparing pentium m 1.5 to pentium3 1.8 which is differnt league) except tht the CH is laser tech. figures aside, so the difference is now 3g IR vs laser ,true? if at slight price differences isnt it better to get sthg more (ie 2000dpi ,laser somemore) unless the newer product is all the meaning to it n the design appeal. DB is IR based? if DA is a finer tuned of the previous DB n design chg i guess theres nthg else tht r different btw those two otherwise the slight price difference cant b justified. I'm using Gigabyte GM-R04, it's a nice gaming mouse but it's a optical gaming mouse. But, the good thing is it almost like other mouse with dpi changer. This mouse can change from 600-->800-->1200-->1600 to 2000dpi

common, RM15 mouse doesn't really fit into "gaming grade" mouse even if you can use it to frag. It is just "normal" mouse.
and you want a brand for RM15 mouse? try tecom...or eview or ABC brand. they all come out from the same factory anyway. |

Why spend 200 bucks on a "gaming grade" mouse when it is vastly inferior to good ol intellimouse ? Surely theres a reason why almost everyone in the pro gaming scene use the IME 3.0. As long as u feel comfy with your RM10 mouse, and it doesnt skip at high flicking speeds. Thats your gaming mouse |

Anyone here have tested an A4Tech X7-MF mouse?
I couldn't find some actual user feedbacks on that mouse. It's as hard as finding the mouse itself, especially here in Penang. I'm looking for something which has good functions, high sensitivty, small(I'm used to small mouse rather than big ones) and most importantly, cheap (means <RM100). Any recomendations other than the X7-MF. |

There is, i'm using one.(at least plays my games well enough for me...haha)
It's sensitive enough(just enough), it's small(as i liked), but just doesn't have tat many buttons and functions(tats the downside of a RM10 mouse IMHO). |

Using a Razer Diamondback for gaming currently. Good and fast mouse, but a little on the small side (but that's ok bcoz I have small hands). Basically you spend your hard-earned cash on a "gaming" mouse for the speed, adjustability, and STYLE factor. Now that I own a Razer, I must qualify that IMO Logitech gives the best balance in terms of comfort and performance, although less STYLISH than my Diamondback. I think the Logitech G5 and MX series are all SOLID mice.

QUOTE(serez @ Apr 30 2007, 04:53 PM) krait user here Diamondback maybe? I think it's bigger than the krait (which is pretty small) right?Or if you don't mind other brands, like Microsoft and Logitech there're relatively larger ones. |

Surely theres a reason why almost everyone in the pro gaming scene use the IME 3.0. Yes there is. That would be because progamers have been playing competitively since long ago before the masses of gaming grade mice have been released. And for consistency sake, they remain using IME.The IME 3.0 suffers from quite a bit of negative acceleration though, if you're using a low sensitivity like me. takes me 2 swipes of my 40cm wide qck to do a 180 degree. |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Apr 30 2007, 05:34 PM) i heard review said mx has no lag at all, just like corded mouse. but my experience with vx, it is kind of lag. But not that much that you feel annoyed by it. in fact, i don't even notice there was lag after days of testing.however, vx is kinda small, not appropriate for gaming especially if you have bit hand. to me, i prefer smaller mouse coz i only move it using fingers, not the whole palm. but best as multimedia mouse coz of its many buttons. |

^Microsoft fanboy
And Smy,since IME 3.0 is pretty darn good, ppl stick to it for consistency as mentioned by chiam_ace. Hopefully I like my Death Adder and stick to it for consistency as well. And "gaming grade" is pretty much marketing (if they state the words on their ads) As long as the mice performs well and is comfortable to one,it's pretty much gaming grade already (so IME 3.0 is pretty much gaming grade, since so many are happy with it) |
