Be careful of where to stand to board the right car. Two "different" trains can arrive at the same time and place. Many trains split up later to go in separate directions.

@RegentCid: Any recommendations for Nagasaki Champon in Osaka?

Regarding the Hiroshima electric tramway.

Using hyperdia, HIROSHIMA STATION to SHUKKEIEN-MAE, the fare is 160 Yen with interchange at HATCHOBORI.

A flat fare of 160 Yen is charged per ride from HIROSHIMA STATION to HATCHOBORI, and 110 Yen from HATCHOBORI to SHUKKEIEN-MAE.

So why hyperdia shows 160 Yen for total since we have to get down from the tram (pay when going down) and take a different line?

Planning to go Hakone and Fuji for 3 days
We would like to hike Mount Fuji since July is the season to climb and rest/explore Hakone next day.

Would like to know if anything to happen to the Hakone mountain /earthquake , will Mount Fuji be affected ?
A bit disappointed rope way is already closed but would like to experience onset and ryokan there

Travel from Tokyo and thinking to join tour for the Fuji hike and catch the sunrise

Sorry if it sounds dumb.
Much appreciated

mt hakone is a bit far from fuji.
if you are hiking via different route than going through hakone, i dont see how it will be affected.

of course there are also possibilities if there will be earthquake/volcano in hakone, it might trigger a some volcanic activity in fuji incase their magma chambers are connected. just follow your tour guide, they will not want you to risk your life as much as theirs.

Wrong place to ask. Ppl here share tips for self-planned free-and-easy trips not tour groups. Anyway U can go for those Apple Tour or Reliance tour groups

Wait for the next matta fair, which will be in September if I remember correctly. The most popular one is Apple Holiday, I don't know if they are any good or are they still the best for Japan tours or not. Go google it up yourself and call them for more info.

People here don't encourage tour packages.

Website says to take romance car from Shinjuku to Hakone yumoto.

Does it make any difference if take from Hakone to Shinjuku instead ?

Planning to get the 3 days Fuji Hakone pass for 7400
And depart from Shinjuku .
From Shinjuku plan to go climb Mount Fuji then Hakone then back to Shinjuku .

Has anyone used this Fuji Hakone ?
Bit confusing about what it covers.

Would be greate if it covers from Hakone yumoto to my Fuji 5th station and hike from there straight.

i hv
no different, can do it both way

the oni different... u must take bus shinjuku from/to fuji

my 2cents.. book it 1day b4 u depart, coz the bus is always full
and since the bus is always full, u might not able to take the earliest bus

in order to maximize the full 3days pass...
shijuku-hakone-gotemba-kawaguciko-shinjuku route is prefer

I will landed in narita at 845am (if no delay), then will leave to shinjuku by N'EX.. Estimated latest to reach Shinjuku around 12pm.

Will go Kawaguchiko by highway bus then.
Is it advisable to reserve highway bus ticket 1st?? let say If i reserve seat for bus departure at 12pm+ and couldn't make it, do i need to pay any fee?

Been, done, to places recommended by locals. However, can't always get back to Nagasaki even when visiting other parts of Kyushu so looking for good places in Tokyo Osaka (Ringer Hut?!?!) There used to be a famous counter in central Tokyo under a JR track but can't recall where.

A really unusual meal in Nagasaki was Shippoku with horse-meat sashimi, soft and sweet.
