My friend also upgraded to 50Mbps package. Seems not stable. Average speed about 20-30Mbps only.
Will wait and see. He already file a complaint with TM about this.

do the TM's router unable to give wireless speed up to 50mbps? since the router only single band.. and 2x2.. with interference quite difficult to achieve wireless speed.. but the problem, TM only promise wired right? so the solution.. change router looorr

You may need to pay for the Rj45 cabling cost,
as TV decoder need to connect wirely with the router.

Rj45 can go as far as a few hundred ft, I did it before for my office by pulling the cable to other room, about 50 ft length.

You're the only user of your connection and therefore shouldn't be any problem.

Alright. Thanks!

How's the video quality on your side using WebEx + VPN?
Mine quite sluggish. Not all the time though, it just got stuck for a few seconds & then fine for a few minutes then the cycle repeats.

Like you, I'm also the only user at home.

I haven't tried video conference using WebEx+VPN because we seldom need this. I also malu wanna do it in my messy room. blush.gif I do video con at office.
Concall is OK though, no issue at all. I always use it to call my friends in overseas using WebEx Connect since it allows me to do that for free. tongue.gif

From what I heard from the TMPoint staff, with current VIP20 (RM229) price we would be able to get 50MBps in somewhere after Merdeka, I think they will eventually release it as my 2 years contract had just finished.

That is true. I just spoke to a TM reseller and it appear that September is the launching date for internet packages without Hyptv bundle. Estimate price for 50Mbps is RM 219 excluding GST.

But Maxis 20Mbps is tempting though, RM 178 if you are a Maxis OnePlan Subscriber.

Sure or not, TM will have a naked 50/10Mbps package (without any HyppTV) at RM219?
Those that subscribe to 30/50Mbps with HyppTV package now = waste money only if they don't watch HyppTV, if that's the case.

If that's included GST, it would be more or less our current VIP20 price. Things are getting interesting nowadays as competition is getting tougher & stiffer. Been heard bad experience on Maxis, was wondering whether do they really got improved? My experience with Unifi from VIP5-10-20 aren't that bad actually. So this would be still the best platform to leverage on.

well i just got call by tmnet for upgrade frm my unifi10 to 50mbps for free, no charges at all, no reapplying or anything. well i just say yes, then just confirming some information.

after around 1 week, got an email ive just got upgraded n need reset modem. reset modem n bam, got upgraded.

well actually 10 is wayyy more than enough for me lol, i dont care for any upgrade anyway. i just play some online games n very rarely download any movies or stuff, just that sometimes games got veryyyyy huge n that take sometime but still for me 10mbps its overpowered XD

Attached ImageAttached Image heres some example of download speed, i think u will get around 6-6.5mb every second

Attached Image well ive try download a bunch of anime 1080p n see how it goes, put on torrent went to bath, after just around 30min ive got all thez files lol

well do we really need this much speed......... hmm.gif
