iii. Cartilage din go too well the first time, so inserting 'fake plug' through it was a pain ....

after i got it i didn't know cannot eat spicy food like curry laksa or nasi lemak...so i went and had extra hot curry laksa on the 2nd day after i had the piercing...after that the wound hurt like mad and got thing oozing out....need to wait about 6months (without nasi lemak & curry laksa) for it to heal completely....

no more!!!! i nid my nasi lemak fix at least once a week

mm....prolly each and every one's body system is real different in that sense
cos' i din realli restrict myself - I eat nasi lemak, spicy food and whatever that's edible I walloped

iii.I used to have a hole at the part which is together with the face(i don't how to explain,but is's just beside the ear... )Pierced 2 times there before,because it accidentaly closed when the earring dropped when i'm asleep...yup,two times the hole closed because of the same reason,really 'sui'...i guess i'm not meant to pierce that part...

for belly piercings, the recovery period is like 6 months - can't wear tight clothing during the healing period....and haf to be real careful when changing clothes to avoid contact with the jewellery in the pierced area

as for piercing places - just hunt down for any studios near ur place

if u're in KL....then I guess there are several studios in sg. wang

for PJ areas - I only know 'dragon fly' in 1U....could be crazy packed with people at public holidays and such, so better to make appointment if u're realli keen and determined to do it - but do talk to the piercer first la b4 doin' and take a look around the studio ... and read some articles b4 getting pierced so as to make an informed decision

as for takin' care procedures, mainly for pierced areas - they're the same, with the usual anti bacterial stuffs to clean the jewellery daily, and dryin' them thoroughly...and whole buncha things which u could google for easily

oh yea, cost of piercing belly ranges from like RM 80 to like RM 120...... the former doesn't provide jewellery while the latter does

I heard from my friends that their friend pierced on the red dot,but end up caused one eye (on the pierced eye side) blinded... They said that after they had the part pierced,there was something like a yellow string came out from the 'red dot' and then they pull it all out,after that end up blind one eye...is it true?But not all people end up like that after pierce that part lar.....but still because my frens told me that,i decided not to do anything to that part...scare leh...

and that's why it could hurt like hell.....cos' it's bones you're crushin'....instead of just flesh like in lobes

my first cartilage hurt like crazy and blood was just oozing out....the pain din stop until' 3 weeks later after i removed the jewellery .......yea, one of the jewellery shop people (non professional) took my jewellery out too roughly......i learnt my lesson now as to watch out for signs of 'unprofessionalism' b4 handing my ear to these personnels

oh yea, and cartilage has a lot of parts to it, different piercings on the cartilage are called differently depending on where you pierce it

for mine, it's called helix piercing

like one of the dude b4 this, had piercings on tragus and conch - 2 different areas of cartilage

my advice is, if you have the bucks, go pierce even your lobes with needle instead of gun.....the list of disadvantages are way too long which i don't wanna spend too much time detailing here......

yuck, the way u explain it, makes me feel disgusting.

i believe everyone should becareful with piercing and tattoo-ing too. i'm too afraid so i went to pierce at Poh Kong... I just don't trust some of those piercing booth at mall. And I heard they don't give you any medicine to drop on the ears in case of infection?

oh i do it at those jewelery shops. not those ones from the stalls the stalls one look creepy hahahahah *rofl

normally in events of infection, your best bet is to get antibacterial stuffs to apply though try not to apply pressure onto the area.....cos' that's one hell of a mistake i did b4, and I reap the pain.....heh

and also normally if ever infection comes.....there could be chances the jewellery gets rejected completely , i.e. you have to take it out...and abandon the piercing

the first piercing session went smoothly and i want to go for another one. hopefully, this time it will be safe too. popi popi.

while the other 2 and helix are still at the normal standard gauge...14/15 + G

it's the measurement for how thick the needle is that goes through your flesh

the smaller the number, the thicker it goes

normally the max ppl stretch to is 0G or 00G - but you rarely see this in Msia.....though i've seen like onli 3 people so far havin' these gauge around klang valley

depends on how long you've worn it...if it's fresh and not fully healed, expect it to close a lot or fully

basically ,large gauge piercings, i.e. stretched ones won't return to the so-called 'normal size', i.e. around 14 - 16G, though they would shrink in size......

a person with a 0G piercing, probably will have his/hers shrink to 8/10G.......
but to 14 or 16G, mmm....tough luck i guess

yeap, unless you get it sewn back by a doctor.....piercers do that also i think
but, i guess it'll be real pain



enlargement.....it's sort of gettin' a new piercing again.....a burnin' sensation realli when the thicker needle enters the existing lobe - warning.....get your lobe healed completely b4 doin' this.....cos' i did mine too fast....and got infection as a result

another reason for gettin' your piercings healed completely b4 doin' enlargement is cos' the piercer will slowly push the needle through your lobe....so it's slow pain....heh

ah....for the proper enlargement procedures better go to piercing studios....cos' the booths i went....the way they do it, ain't exactly how i've read it to be
....
though i must say, the device for enlargement costs a bomb......
not forgettin' too, the jewellery that you use in the process of enlargement.....
say, if u're goin' from 18/20G (which most of the girls have) to 0G.....u would have to fork out your money for 16G, 14G, 12G, 10G, ....and all the way down to your desired gauge....
but remember, like mentioned, there's no turnin' back.....u've been warned

there are tonnes of resources online....u could go dig them out, or the best is go ask piercers if u feel like malas wanna research

they have measurement tools, which I also malas wanna find out or even buy...cos' it's just not realli that priority for me as of now.....not for the near future i think too...

oh yea, the piercers i meant above, are those peeps you find in studios, not the booths kinda people.....they would be clueless if u mention about G to them........u would make them frown for a noticeable period of time, trust me.....

i just did my belly piercing in sg. wang..1st floor or G floor..named 'YING collection' if not mistaken..
RM90 include the jewelry..or RM70 with normal ring..
not very painful..done in 30 seconds..

but to me it seems painful.

nice belly piercing by the way! - though I'm a bit concerned the jewellery might put too might weight on your fresh wound, since it's still tender......consult piercers on this perhaps?

yea..they use something like tat (disposable sterilised needle and equipments )..coz they throw it after using..n they gave me some medicine to apply on the wound too..to avoid it from suppurating..so now the wound is recovering well..

i went dancing the next day i had the piercing..the jewelry is like 'tarik a bit' whenever i jump.. ..



this is the fourth day i had it..the jewelry is still nice in place..



it's just a normal jewellery shop..but the piercer claimed tat she is a experience piercer..n she showed me some pics of piercing she did too..so i just let her do..luckily it was nicely pierced..no senget 1..

oh.....u might wanna stop that...cos' infection could come after a week or so after initial piercing.....i kena 3 times already with my ear.....and once get infected, the healing period is prolonged so much longer.........

and i had to abandon one of the infected piercings......cos 'it was just too painful to get the needle through when changing jewellery
my ear went sore and reddish for 3 weeks before subsiding completely.......it was insanely long to wait for it to heal to get it repierced....

oh and yea, belly piercing takes about 6 months or so to heal......prolly up to 8 months, i can't remember.....u might wanna verify on that on the Net


for lobe.....i've read about the healing period....and they're really accurate, 3 months down the road just like they said, and my ears are like completely healed.....close to the point where i could take needle in and out of my ear few times a day, just like that....just for the heck of it, without bleeding
now......that's close to complete healing

of so many don't for new piercings - the most BIG don't would be swimming in public pools......unless u're doin' it at sea, then i guess it would be okay......


needless to say, water is a rich source for microorganisms, especially bacteria....

i had to sacrifice swimmin' for so many months cos' i got piercings during those period.....yea, it was one of my favourite past time.........and it was hard to stop it cos' i had to find other form of exercise to substitute it

forgot to mention, if infections' too severe, u might have to abandon your piercing altogether - which happened with 2 of my piercings

but b4 this i'd had 6 piercings on my ears..n i did things n ate like normal..nothing serious happened though..

It depends on the person,i also did and ate my usual stuff after piercing...maybe ninelives1980 has a weak body,lol...

sensitive skin is more like it...........

the failed piercings were cos' i did the don'ts .....
too much water to wash the wound while within 1st week of healing......learned my lesson well......

secondly, enlargement even before it's healed.....gosh that was terrible

but overall, they all healing fine now......

i got my ear piercing at the ear loob. It's about 5 months ago.
i wear an ear ring and never take it out about 3 months. Because whenever i take out the ear ring, got little blood and very hard to wear it back.
Now i'm not dare to take out becoz i feel seem like it hasn't fully heal back lah.
How to know my hole has fully heal? and how to take care in eating, need to apply anything?

when your ear is totally painless when u touch it......unless you press your flesh real hard against the ring that is

when your ear is all 'softy' again - just like before u got it pierced

little blood when taking it out? - it's normal.......while it's healing....yea, not taking out your piercings during the initial healing periods are advisable

anyways, yea reinserting the ring back is a pain while it's healing that is

to clean, just place your ear through running water while rotating the ring (if you find no pain while rotating the ring that is).......

that's what I do, cos' my fistula's almost completely formed (i.e. the tunnel inside the ear)

oh yea, dry up your ear with soft cottons or tissues, etc after exposure to water......important in order to avoid infection

How about food? what food i shouldn't eat?
Normal take how long to fully heal? WHat medicine to apply in order to heal fast?

there are no rules as to what u ask.......just leave the piercing alone and it'll heal fine

unless there's infection

Well,all 3 of mine healed within 2-3 weeks. At that time I was only 14,so gotto remove the ear ring 1 day after piercing and use a transparent stick,not allowed it school though.

Infection is pretty nasty right? Just read the newspaper about a girl's weight from 50kg dropped to 30something++kg because of the belly button infection..man....(fyi,the mom of the girl jailed for not bringing the daughter for treatment.)

That why,we should keep our environment clean and stay healthy always.

I've got 3 piercings on my right ear, 4 piercings on my left ear.

I got my belly button pierced bout 4 years ago.

And i've got a tattoo on my back above my booty.

I had my piercings done in those small stall u see in the malls..my belly button was done in sungei wang, also another small store just opposite ROMP. Hahah It was pierced twice because i lost the ring on the second day of piercing and had to got back there cause it kinda closed halfway.
I got my tattoo done in sungei wang too..opposite POPULAR bookstore.

If you guys have trouble with pus coming out and itchyness after you pierce, you can go to Guardian or any pharmacy to get a tube of gel specially for piercings.It's like less than RM10 per tube.I cant remember what it's called. But it's really worth the money!!

well, i was walking around one utama really really bored once with a friend. and i went to dragonfly initially wanting a tattoo. i could not decide on a design so i pierced my navel instead. it wasnt painful until about 2 days later. i didnt tell my parents but the eventually found out anyway and i got whacked.

advice: dont eat eggs, seafood, beef. trust me on the beef. i got an infection after i had beef even though i dont knw the science behind it. you cant work out for 3 months, especially swimming.

iv. Future piercings you plan to have?

none. i dont like piercings on my face. i like looking at them on other ppl, it's hot. but i plan to be a high-flying career businesswoman/multi-billionaire, lol. so i need a professional image.

ooh..... i've got 3 piercing on my both ear- one is since kindergarden, the other 2 is since 18yrs old, then 19 yrs old get o nose piercing, 20yrs old get myself a navel piercing....and recently got a tattoo on my shoulder back!

previously got 5 on my right ear, but somehow i decided to take off the two piercing on the top...hehe
