Hey there, sorry necro thread ahahaha.
So I had earlobe piercings back when I was like 5 but a few years later I lost one side of my earring and I never worn them again, which lead to the holes closing in. Fast forward more than a decade later, I have decided to get them reopened again, and might even drop in a helix or two. After days of research, it is now obvious that needle piercing is the best way to get em done. Problem is, I contacted my local reputable tat and piercing shop in Penang for some inquiries and found out that ONE piercing costs rm150, but the piercer was kind enough to deduct rm50 from the total if I get two piercings done. That still makes it rm250 to get two earlobe piercings. Now, a normal stall in a mall that uses a gun costs rm8 for each side and all of my friends went there to have their piercings done. Sure enough, they all had some pretty serious problems during the healing process. Some are ok now, and some are not. Most are on the now-okay side, though. Which leaves me in quite a dilemma, rm250 is quite an amount for me as a student, and I have plans saving up for a vacation next year. That kind of amount would probably just affect my one month's spending, but it is however worth like seven days of my part time job just for that amount If it was the helix I'd opt for needle for sure since it has higher risks as it's cartilage and all, but earlobes... Tldr version poor college student wants to pierce earlobes but is in a dilemma of rm250 needle vs rm16 gun. Any thoughts? |
