Then AMD will hit back with R9 395X2.

It is not a true workstation GPU. It doesn't have ECC memory and I don't think it supports those pro applications that needed Quadros.
Titan II is more like for semi-pro uses. Only for CUDA.
Kinda sucks since if the application supports OpenCL, then the much cheaper HD7970 and 290 series is better
AMD never gimped the double precision compute performance too much for the gaming cards.
