Hello, I'm new to this credit card thing and I'm just applied for hsbc amanah credit card. I want to ask a few questions.
1. If I activated my card on 20/6 and used it straight away, do I need to pay the bill at the end of June or later on 20/7? 2. Do they notified you to make payment or if you have outstanding balance or you need to check by yourself at the end of payment period? 3. Can I pay the bill using other bank apps such as maybank app? Thank you in advance. |

Because last few months I received my Maybank Credit Card via PosLaju. Or maybe local "big" banks using courier service?Though most of them have moved to courier drop mail. I just received message that my card only sent out yesterday. If using courier service, I think I already received by today or tomorrow, because I plan to bring it to use in overseas this week as it is more secure as compared to local bank issued card. Now I think can't. |

Thank you in advance. Check your statement date. You pay 20 days later (after statement date) Eg. Statement date: 1st of every month Payment due date: 20th of every month 2. Do they notified you to make payment or if you have outstanding balance or you need to check by yourself at the end of payment period? HSBC will SMS to you when you have outstanding balance. At the end of the day you still need to go to www.hsbc.com.my to check QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 29 2018, 11:54 AM) Hmm. I will receive SMS from HSBC to inform my bill is ready to view and download. In the SMS will have statement balance amount, minimum amount due and due date. 3. Can I pay the bill using other bank apps such as maybank app?If your bills refer to TNB, Syabas, et cetera, AND you were to pay using www.hsbc.com.my You need to have security device. Adding in here, agree with the following.it will take 1-2 business days for the payment to show up on the online screen. Even though it is instant transfer or paying via cash deposit machine (CDM) before certain cutoff time. |

Hi, want to ask regarding the HSBC Amanah Cashback calculation. I was spent 2k in my last statement, however the cashback in my statement only count for the others (which is 0.2%), while my petrol transactions does not get any cashback (0 cashback from petrol). Is it normal?

I was spent 2k in my last statement, however the cashback in my statement only count for the others (which is 0.2%), while my petrol transactions does not get any cashback (0 cashback from petrol). Is it normal? Since, HSBC Amanah MPower Platinum's cashback is based on first come first serve basis (FCFS)Probably RM1.5million cashback pool for petrol and grocery has been exhausted for that quarter? If cashback pool for that quarter has been exhausted, 1. No cashback for petrol 2. 0.2% cashback for grocery For more details https://sp.hsbc.com.my/microsites/mplat-int..._09JAN_2018.pdf This post has been edited by yongs90: Jul 4 2018, 06:12 PM |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 25 2018, 03:32 PM) Last year I applied Amanah Plat just to get 0% cash installment but I haven't been spending a single cent with this card and have no intention to keep it. I intend to pay both 11th and 12th installment together and cancel my card. I think this is OK? I lazy want to wait till 12th month and see AF is charged to my card, so I need to call to waive AF and whatnot. Is it really no interest no hidden charge management charge whatsoever?I will continue to keep the VS as it is more beneficial to me. I thought first year AF is free? |
