What's that? A plaque?

Yesterday I placed a rm50k fd at UOB but didn't receive this gift. Unless the quantum's below the threshold limit, how do I claim it? TQ smile.gif

I am not sure about the HSBC Advance
RM 30K is the max amount we can place for each FD account for this FD promo

2 bad things about this HSBC FD promo:
(1) FD will only be effective when the check is cleared; unless bring cash, then FD will effective on the same day.

(2) Only can withdraw one day after the FD maturity day.
Better to get a rain coat and umbrella ready in case if a thunder storm coming  sweat.gif
Okay.. Thanks
By the way, when you signed up your Am Bank Priority account, did your RM allow you to put
a chop/cross on your photostat IC?

Am Bank Sri Petaling at first did not allow me to do it, they said if put a chop/cross on photostat IC, Am Bank Priority Department will not approve the priority account. That's why we had an argument for this issue. Then the RM asked me to keep my money at home... rclxub.gif

Good idea, I think I will put it on the complaint letter by stating that I will complain to Bank Negara because Am Bank does not allow customer to put chop/cross on the photostat IC. Thanks

I often read about these two phases below:

Banks that pay interest for non-working days
Banks that do not pay interest for non-working days

but I don't understand what impact does it have on our FD.

Can you help?

Thank you.

don't pay interest for non-working days means u get less $$ for your FD compare with pay interest for non-working days icon_rolleyes.gif

Received SCB mailing of FD cert. rclxms.gif Good, that saved me some time in the bank on Monday. The leng lui told me if I waited for the FD cert, it will be some time. Their system is kind of slow. Did notice a lot of customers in their normal banking area at that time.

Regret did not join their PB earlier. biggrin.gif

I think it is also relevant when the FD maturity date is fallen on non-working days.

although they might get the daily interest rate by <annual rate>/365. you effectively only get abt 200+ days of interest.

My personal experience with Bank Rakyat:

my FD matured on 28/2/2015 (Saturday), but the bank system has automatically extend the FD maturity to 2/3/2015 (Monday). Then the bank paid me additional interest for the 1/3 (Sunday) and 2/3 (Monday).

Some banks (e.g. Ambank) don't pay interest for the subsequent non-banking day(s) if the maturity falls on a non-banking day.
Example if maturity is on Saturday and you withdraw on the following Monday, you are not paid interest on Sunday. But some banks do pay (e.g. Maybank) provided you withdraw on the next banking day (i.e. Monday).
