anything now is worth a try, thanks for sharing
but...

AFAIK the tc device is not capable of layer 7 deep packet inspection. Besides it doesn't make any difference protocol encryption or not, it control based on initiated connections count. When your connection hits the count limit, you'll get lame speed.

I'll try these settings for a few days & see how it goes.

I dont quite understand this... how do we work around for this one?

Hi again, I got a simple theory about escaping torrent shaping without tunneling. From my observation, what you need to do is
a) forward port below 1024 range, use port 25,80,88,110 just to be safe
b) decrease p2p connection timeout below 30 seconds, I'll set mine at 20 secs
c) do not use forced mode for BT encryption it will get you less peers, just leave it default. AFAIK the tc device is not capable of layer 7 deep packet inspection. Besides it doesn't make any difference protocol encryption or not, it control based on initiated connections count. When your connection hits the count limit, you'll get lame speed.

I'll try these settings for a few days & see how it goes.

from my experience...
a)I always block ports below 1024 for my BC sweat.gif
b)I can't find anything about this?
c)for my case, I do find a better speed with PE(protocol encryption) on Always

so... tat means different place/pc has different cause?? blink.gif

I am using utorrent and has that feature hidden in the advanced menu, but i think BC should this feature too. The idea is to emulate like a real web/whatever server, but i am just as afraid that the tc device will mark you through the 1st connection with the trackers e.g. having a tracker monitor bot to check when you initiating connection to popular tracker port numbers. So later on I'll put a http proxy when connecting to a tracker

This is just theory & currently under testing. I'll keep on tweaking until I got some results.

the only setting in BC regarding time is this: socket start interval(ms): <- this the one u mean???

(I set it to 100, default shd be 300 if I'm not mistaken)

not that, but for that setting IMO is better set at a larger number e.g. 500 or 1000

Maybe BC doesn't have this setting after all sweat.gif
if your connection is unthrottled then leave it at 100ms biggrin.gif

doesnt seems to hav much effect... tongue.gif (will leave it on and see how)

hav changed it for over 30mins, speed still steady at over 50K+ and still can surf quite nicely (tat's wat I like BC, wont affect too much on surfing even dl at unlimited speed smile.gif )

Hmm.. I think this might work and I don't think that they have any advance shaping device at work. Noticed that when you're trying to access a website that initiate multiple connection at one, it still take time to load page. Maybe, it's true they use lame connection count to limit torrent speed.

The question is, how many connection is max and how to decrease outgoing connection without affecting speed at the same time? Seem impossible with bittorent protocol.

I'm assuming you use the pay one. So, did you mange to get back your full speed?

Yup. I'm using paid one aka high bandwidth server. And yes, I got my speed back. I'm on rm66 package currently dl at 55-60kB. For nod32 user, add http-tunnel in your IMON exclusion list or else the tunnel client will crash. cry.gif cry.gif

Since throttling started I have tried reducing port range to those below 1024 as well. This does not work because throttling is done by looking at the 'pattern' of your incoming connections.

I have tried enabling all possible combinations of Tcp1323Opts but still no difference...

Err LOL, i like that statement. So we're famous eh?

219.92 series, wonder how it will perform. I am still stuck on 60.48, sometimes occasionally (rare though) get 60.51

Which setting is this exactly? peer.disconnect_inactive_interval is it?

@omikron Close your BT client. Install http-tunnel. Run it and click on configure. Select no proxy, only firewall and click test. Open utorrent -->preferences-->connection. Under proxy server type choose socks4, proxy localhost or 127.0.0.1, port 1080.

Maybe you want to try the new http-tunnel beta version optimised for BT. Can be download here: http://http-tunnel.com/bt/HTTP-TunnelClientv443953.zip

Just extract it to different folder and run it. It will automaticly use your key. Repeat the above again if you're using the beta one.

OOooo... Got some nice speed now, not stable.. maybe becuase of the torrent. sweat.gif Will try a few other torrent to see how the result is. As of now is yo-yo-ing between 60%-100% of my speed. shocking.gif But still much ... Much better then <10kB/s.. thumbup.gif
