I got 50% to 60% of my speed back with some setting change. Something you guys can try. smile.gif

I set to 1 download torrent only and 1 seed torrent only. Global max connection to 60 and 50 connection per torrent. Max Global dl speed to 80% of my package, global up at 10%. Encryption On. That's it. No proxy setting or tunneling. By doing this I'm getting the result that is similar to the proxy thing that some of you are trying. Setting the number of connection too high or low will result in < 3kb/s speed. So you likely need to play around with the numbers. I start with 10-10 and work my way up. For you info, some of my torrents take up to 20min to get going. So you need to wait. Turn the encryption off will get your torrent going pretty fast but the speed will always be <5kb/s. Same thing happens if you're dling more then 1 torrent at a time. cry.gif

The end result is that I get my files in about double the time it normally took before tm bandwidth when on fasting. Meaning files that normally take 2 hours to get, now take little over 4. The speed during dl range for ~0.1 kb/s to Max, over all about 50% to 60% of norm base on time need to complete a torrent.

BTW I'm using utorrent. Doing on BitComet (what I normally use) I got back 40% at most. If someone using other appz and with this setting tweaks trick and getting better result plz let me know. sweat.gif

I am waiting for TM to promote a special package for BT.
*
Me too. I hope they come up with something like 100GB bandwith a month + extra change per gig for every gig over. I used to have that kind of package back in my uni days oversea. Those were the days, 8mbs line with 2mbs up. Hope some1 with business brain make it. Since from want I see some here are will to pay the extra buck.

Tmnut might test new shaping setting like shaping on peak hours or on region that has trafic that is too high compare to others. If so, I see a very very small glimer of hope for future bt.

I just seem to have my old speed back too. I can reach max but not stable up and down like yo-yo on steriod. I going to wait a few day to see if its shaping is really off or not. They might just be changing their shaping hours. Like no shaping after office hours. Maybe ...

Speed still suck. Shaping is still on. It was nice for about 12 hours. Then it die again, now moving at zombie speed.

I'm using http-tunnel. Google it.

Edit: It's not the same as relakks but sufficient for BT. IMHO, it's better than relakks. smile.gif

I'm assuming you use the pay one. So, did you mange to get back your full speed?

Yup. I'm using paid one aka high bandwidth server. And yes, I got my speed back. I'm on rm66 package currently dl at 55-60kB. For nod32 user, add http-tunnel in your IMON exclusion list or else the tunnel client will crash.  cry.gif  cry.gif

Mind showing me your setup? I'm using utorrent with high bandwith server but can't seem to get the good speed?

@omikron Close your BT client. Install http-tunnel. Run it and click on configure. Select no proxy, only firewall and click test. Open utorrent -->preferences-->connection. Under proxy server type choose socks4, proxy localhost or 127.0.0.1, port 1080.

Maybe you want to try the new http-tunnel beta version optimised for BT. Can be download here: http://http-tunnel.com/bt/HTTP-TunnelClientv443953.zip

Just extract it to different folder and run it. It will automaticly use your key. Repeat the above again if you're using the beta one.

OOooo... Got some nice speed now, not stable.. maybe becuase of the torrent. sweat.gif Will try a few other torrent to see how the result is. As of now is yo-yo-ing between 60%-100% of my speed. shocking.gif But still much ... Much better then <10kB/s.. thumbup.gif

Can use for emule this method?
*
YES.... take a look at their forum. they have tech support for lots of appz and games. smile.gif Just not much on utorrent. doh.gif

PS. If your trying the free version out, the info on High bandwidth speed test isn't correct. I tested it over 20 times it always under 15kbs. The actual speed is very high.

Some freebie. http://www.torrent2ftp.com/ DON'T GET multiple free account or you'll get ban. And every1 else ban too since all our ip are so similar.

How can i find their forum?
*
website: http://www.http-tunnel.com/
forum : http://www.http-tunnel.com/phpbb2/index.php

Here some stats I got for those who is think of using http-tunnel.
So far I used it on 6 torrent.
3 torrent speed at 55+ kB/s, 1000+ seeds, 80-100% int. seeders connected
2 torrent speed at 40+ KB/s, <1000 seeds, 70% int. seeders connected
1 torrent speed at <15 KB/s, due low seeders, < 10 seeds, 100% int. seeders

Down side that I notice so far:
- Usually connect to North American seeds, get stuuf from Eu might slower
- upload is kinda wacky, so private tracker might an issue for some.
- torrent can start quite slow, might take 5 min to get nice speed
- no UDP yet. the developer seem to be planning to add it in future client release

erm, r u using free or paid one?
i cant find any info on their site about the details limitation of free ones...

needless to say, mine isnt as effective as urs so far.. not sure if its because mine's free or simply cant work for me
thats the sad situation now... for those who's really being capped, like me
10kbps is cool
20kbps is phenomenal
50kbps, i'll eat my keyboard
*
Yes using paid one. The free one's speed is only 1.5 kB/s only thing you can do with it is chat and email. There a speed test on the client appz but is not correct at all (for High Speed one).

I not sure if their is a spy here or not but http-tunnel service seem to be operating badly after I put the service in the lime light. Can't get pass 30kB/s now. I'll try a few more torrent files and see it is still the same.

Maybe it depend on the torrent u dl. if its a hot n famous torrent for sure u can get good speed unless tmnnut doing something.
right now im using relakks. speed around 30kBps but the torrent is not that hot so the speed can consider ok
*
The torrent file I'm using has more then 1500+ seeders, so I think they should be hot enough to melt the modem.

Yes, you can make noise, attract international/local media attentions. Do you know what's the broadband internet penetration rate in this country? It's either 1%(Lim Keng Yaek), or 7.6%(Streamyx), or somewhere between. Imagine, 20% out of this 1/7.6% of Malaysia population. Who would listen to our voice? We are the minority of the minority, and broadband internet ...
Malaysian Population : 25.6 Mil (2004)
Broadband internet penetration rate : 7.6 % (1,945,600 Customers)
Broadband P2P users : 20% of the above 7.6% ( 389,120 customers)

389,120 x RM88 = RM 34,242,560 per month.

389,120 downgrade package
389,120 x RM66 = RM 25,681,920 per month, a loss of sale RM 8,560,640 per month.

20% of Customer signout = RM 34 mil per month gone.

I don't know about you, If I lost over 100mil in business a year (8.5 mil x 12 = 102 mil) I take notice. Especially if my company is still trying to grow. Bad name now mean slow business growth later. They just remove my reason for upgrading, another lose of sale for them.

Try those steps about a month ago. They don't work. Haven't try openDNS yet. Might try it when their London site open.

This leads to nowhere 'cause 95%(my estimate) of the stuff are copyright including a simple ebook\manual.
Even very old TV shows\serial\anime\programs are copyright.Except the owners probably doesn't want to take action
*
Just because the show are copyrighted doesn't mean is illegal to download them. It is only illegal if the M'sian government (or a local distributor or someone locally) pay the copyright, license fees and etc to the show makers.

I could say a ton on this topic. But if anyone wants to be sure, go check the Fair Use Act for copyrighted material. To be short if the source of the file is from a TV channel or station there is a good chance is legal.

Download the show, Buy the DVDs and don't pay for pirated stuff. smile.gif

BTW Fair Use Act covers stuff like books, ebook, other suff on paper diffrently from stuff like TV Show, music and movies.
