It does but u have to setup the proxy setting almost like the other p2p softwares. This Setting is asuming you are using the free account which is limited to 64kbps.

*
Hi, can i ask something about its free account

It says 2 hrs. Is that daily or just 2 hrs only for trial? thanks

damn sad case...

same here...
how many peers u can connect?

Mine is between 20 - 25 peers can connect... now its constantly below 20 peers
Theres more than 100 total peers... i think something is screwing with the peer connected (mine usually have to be above 40 peers to actually start off a dl sad.gif )

He said: "Certainly, you could see P2P as one of the killer applications for broadband. What that means is that, if users find that their broadband service is actually limiting the application that they most want to use, they'll simply go somewhere else."
Its just too bad we have no somewhere else to go... yet

What I think is TMNet is just dropping off the multiple connections we're doing with overseas (as BT normally do multiple connection amounting to 100+), that's why proxies or VPN is working, bcoz it disguise the data link from multiple connection to show that it looked like one single connection.

This is just what I think, might be wrong biggrin.gif

That's why torrent encryption is not working well, because we are still doing multiple connections to overseas.

i agree...
my number of peer connection cant go any higher than 30 since last week
And sometimes when I'm connected to a good peer seeding to me at a ok speed, it gets drop off, how more cruel could they be....

I got 50% to 60% of my speed back with some setting change. Something you guys can try.  smile.gif

I set to 1 download torrent only and 1 seed torrent only. Global max connection to 60 and 50 connection per torrent. Max Global dl speed to 80% of my package, global up at 10%. Encryption On. That's it. No proxy setting or tunneling. By doing this I'm getting the result that is similar to the proxy thing that some of you are trying. Setting the number of connection too high or low will result in < 3kb/s speed. So you likely need to play around with the numbers. I start with 10-10 and work my way up. For you info, some of my torrents take up to 20min to get going. So you need to wait. Turn the encryption off will get your torrent going pretty fast but the speed will always be <5kb/s. Some with if you're dling more then 1 torrent at a time.  cry.gif

The end result is that I get my files in about double the time it normally took before tm bandwidth when on fasting. Meaning files that normally take 2 hours to get, now take little over 4. The speed during dl range for ~0.1 kb/s to Max, over all about 50% to 60% of norm base on time need to complete a torrent.

BTW I'm using utorrent. Doing on BitComet (what I normally use) I got back 40% at most. If someone using other appz and with this setting tweaks trick and getting better result plz let me know.  sweat.gif

Mine, I'm having problem connecting to peer.. only 30 peers connected, and speed below 10kbps all the time sad.gif .... I'm using forced encryption, uTorrent 1.6

The way they limiting it is so unfair...

Other ISP limits the speed, TmNet is crippling p2p entirely...

anything now is worth a try, thanks for sharing
but...
QUOTE(strace @ Oct 19 2006, 10:44 AM)
AFAIK the tc device is not capable of layer 7 deep packet inspection. Besides it doesn't make any difference protocol encryption or not, it control based on initiated connections count. When your connection hits the count limit, you'll get lame speed.

I'll try these settings for a few days & see how it goes.

I dont quite understand this... how do we work around for this one?
I'm using BitComet but i cant find p2p connection timeout sweat.gif

wht clien r u using btw?

website: http://www.http-tunnel.com/
forum  : http://www.http-tunnel.com/phpbb2/index.php
Here some stats I got for those who is think of using http-tunnel.
So far I used it on 6 torrent.
3 torrent speed at 55+ kB/s, 1000+ seeds, 80-100% int. seeders connected
2 torrent speed at 40+ KB/s, <1000 seeds, 70% int. seeders connected
1 torrent speed at <15 KB/s, due low seeders, < 10 seeds, 100% int. seeders

Down side that I notice so far:
- Usually connect to North American seeds, get stuuf from Eu might slower
- upload is kinda wacky, so private tracker might an issue for some.
- torrent can start quite slow, might take 5 min to get nice speed
- no UDP yet. the developer seem to be planning to add it in future client release

erm, r u using free or paid one?
i cant find any info on their site about the details limitation of free ones...

needless to say, mine isnt as effective as urs so far.. not sure if its because mine's free or simply cant work for me

thats the sad situation now... for those who's really being capped, like me
10kbps is cool
20kbps is phenomenal
50kbps, i'll eat my keyboard

yes indeed. I think many user already tried it out and some find it to be effective.
But paid ones of course. Nothing comes free.

VPN is tunneling, port forwarding is also tunneling, PPTP is tunneling, IPSec is tunneling.

And your point is ??????? doh.gif  doh.gif
*
heh heh...no lar, he didnt mean port fowarding is tunneling... this VPN is like a form of tunneling i think, very confusing whatever jargon name they give it... what he mean is this VPN also throttling p2p by messing up ports that is suspected of BT...

P2P is when ur computer connect directly to other computers (seeder/peers) around the world. the protocol use us p2p protocol, TmNet target this protocol. but when u use VPN, u connect to a server first, then from server to other peers. of course ur using this server bandwidth, so u have to pay. Now if I'm not mistaken, u'll be using HTTP protocol... but whatever it is, TmNet will see ur connection as normal one like ur other HTTP connection to rapidshare, lyn and other website, so it wont be throttle....

encryption cant help ler...
TmNet too smart that they decide to spend more money on buying the most high tech throttling tech instead of upgrading our international bandwidth

still need to use VPN which is not free

Another things...may i know how much u set the upload speed? For emule please set ur upload to maximum so u can receive unlimited download. laugh.gif

really? i always set to 10kbps up only sweat.gif
ok, i'll get the latest client and try again... thx biggrin.gif

to be honest, they dont care at all about those craps smile.gif

well tmnUt is not so intelligent la.  smile.gif  as i said before it is impossible to crack without any clue. let just ignore all those code and move on to better discussion.

throttling technology is imported. I dont believe a tiny bit TmNet themself can come up with a technology that is comparable to canada or US, which can read through the encoding BT clients use.

Something to keep them busy while waiting for the end of the year laugh.gif

well, we'll see what happens, if TmNet do keep their words they said in a email reply to a forumer here some time ago, which promise that they would lift the restriction once the new line or whatever it is is up.

but i'm not putting any hopes yet...

I've tried tuoto and believe me its done squat for my download speed. Using touto i actually got no speed instead of the speed increase that everybody is raving about. And i followed what underground said in the first page of the forum 2 configure the settings but all i got was nothing.

the guide there unfortunetly, isnt much of a help i must say (but still, threadstarted treid his best)

It doesnt explain many thing and i believe we have to wait for english version to start tweakin around. Mine cant connect too... there's just some setting that if i know what it is, should be able to do the trick. unfortunetly i cant read mandrin...
