I noticed crowding in my front teeth. My dentist said it was because of my tongue thrust. How can I fix my tongue thrust? Retainers? And how much would it cost?

Thanks. smile.gif

those look like plastic brackets to me..... plastic braces tend to get stained after a while... ceramic would be nicer.... end result and duration of treatment are the same..... generally cost 1-2k more than normal metal braces....

You mean Retainers? I'm still wearing it before bed time for more than 9 years now. The material is soft plastics, yes over time it will stain and turn yellowish if not properly maintain with the Steradine wash.

Invisible braces is fixed behind the teeth, so it cannot show through. Price i think is similar to ceramic braces. My sister was going to do ceramic braces but decided to do invisible braces instead

normal brackets can be 'invisible' too. fix in front. easier to clean too.

AND there's no need to be ashamed when you fix metal brackets! it's so common nowadays, don't think that it'll interfere with your daily social life (unless you're in customer relations). why would u want to pay that extra bulk to the dentist?

I just went for consultation at T.Low in SS2 yesterday. Was quoted 6k for conventional braces. The Dr. was really friendly. Is 6k the normal market rate though?

It's the one by Dr Low Teong. I was quoted by his son. So 6k is overpriced? rclxub.gif

JeffreyYap, check out Dr How in bangsar smile.gif He's really good but waiting time can get a little bit annoying on weekends.

CherrieLuv, I agree with Jeff. I did my damon for 6k ard 1.5 years ago. I think its about 6k-7k now.
