notice that there's teeth mark on your lower lip? that's due to trapping of your lower lip cause the gap between upper and lower anterior teeth is alot(overjet)..... you probably can't close your lips completely when you are resting rite?

definitely need extraction of 2 upper pre molars and braces for 12-18 months to do it....
*
If it is only 12-18months.. it is something bearable. .. Go for it JustCallMeLarry ... smile.gif

treatment duration for Damon is the same... proven by may research... in fact, you dun need research to proof it if you know how it works... it's basically the same thing as any other fix braces appliance... it's just the way it secures the wyre that's different.... most systems uses coloured bands to keep it in place... Damon doesn't use that, it has a build in 'gate' 'clip' to hold it...

Added on July 5, 2011, 11:54 amthe more force the wyre apply on the teeth, the faster the teeth move... the shorter the treatment duration.....

same goes for pain... more force more pain....
*
Hi Doctor,
It has been nice to have you here....
What do you mean by "Damon doesn't use that, it has a build in 'gate' 'clip' to hold it..."?
You mean damon system come in a set of bracket and archwire come in a set?

I am considering ceramic or damon braces. Can i hear the pro and con from you? and of cause the differences in cost.
I have 4 wisdom tooths with me now and one was not align properly as was told by dentist.
Very likely i will need that to be removed before the braces. sad.gif

Thank you.

Aji.

Invisible braces is fixed behind the teeth, so it cannot show through. Price i think is similar to ceramic braces. My sister was going to do ceramic braces but decided to do invisible braces instead
*
Aprilcoco.. .

Can you shall with us the cost of having the invisible braces done??

As I was told, there is only one orthodontist at IMU.

No harm to get more information from other orthodontist clinic.. .
Let's gather some finding here. ..

T Low Dental at SS2 quoted RM5800 including 4 extractions.
Procare at Damansara Utama quoted RM5800 excluding extractions.
PJ Orthodonthic at Damansara Utama quoted RM4800 excluding extractions.

I've decided to do mine at T Low.

The PJ Orthodontic's Dr left a very bad impression on me. Very rough while doing the consultation and half the time he was busy talking to his assistant about some other stuff instead of attending to me. sleep.gif

Hi CherrieLuv,
Thanks for the sharing. ..
Is quatation meant for damon braces?

I went there for consultation and she adviced me for braces.
However, I'm not sure if she is an orthordontist?

Go google for his/her name in the internet. .
If he/she is an orthodontist. . You should be able to find the name with orthodontic related association ...

Meet an orthondist and he suggested me to go for braces with 4 teeths to remove.
My teeth is somewhat like the teeth in the picture in which there is gap between the upper teeth with lower teeth.
He quoted my 8.5k for 2.5 years treatment on normal braces...
That will include the cost to remove teeth, monthly scalling and adjustment, retainer...
Is this really the market rate?
Aji...

I was told the self-ligating braces will be much comfortable than tradisional ligature bracket. ..
Are you all wearing self-ligating braces already???

Hello dear all..planning to get my braces soon..what diff between traditional braces and Damon braces ..
*
Go google to look for more details...
In brief, traditional braces uses ligature and rubber... damon braces uses the new technology (self ligating) which is much better than traditional braces...
