no... damon is the same as the other braces systems.... whether or not extraction is needed depends on the severity of your crowding.....

you dun need to remove your wisdom teeth to do braces.......

I just did last two days - Damon Q Braces in SS15 subang Jaya with Dr. Huang (Klinik Lim Dental Surgery). They have 3 branches all over selangor.

They offer two types of Damon Braces:
1) Damon MX - RM6,000
2) Damon Q - RM7,000

All are the same. Except that Damon Q is newer version and smaller in size and Dr. said it less pain (Dun know how to compare).

Luckily my case not so complex, thus no extraction required. Its been 3 days now. so pain la.. i took painkiller to overcome it.. T_T.. sigh, 2 years so long laaa...

You can try whitesmile orthodontic clinic at Berjaya Times Square. Dr Reuben did my braces and i am wearing retainers. I don't think the braces matters so much it all depends on the orthodontist laaaa. He is doing invisible braces for my sister (the braces put behind not in front of the teeth). Last time i did mine price is RM 5400. Not painful because he put the braces part by part. Very gentle and professional orthodontist

'invinsible' braces is actually lingual braces... very much more expensive as it's not easy to place it and make adjustments... generally cost RM10k and above...

what is invisible braces?? lingual braces is the most unnoticeable of all.... followed by ceramic and plastic....

lingual braces has it's limitation though... not all cases can be corrected with it....

I got the Damon braces !! It makes the ortho visit quite short. . fast results too! ... i've have them on for almost a year. my teeth is straight now, just waiting for the gaps to close

the top front 6 teeth is clear so its not noticeable


btw i've inquired about the lingual braces...... they're more costly :S

Lingual braces are worn by celebrity most of the time. Cost twice more than the usual braces.

Sorry Dr. Barbarian, I am not sure what is the proper term use for invisible braces.. but i believe it is refer to ceramic braces which is less noticable. .
