Cheh, only available in the USA! I was hoping for it to be sent to the Asia-Pacific region this year though.

Why not check out "Occasions+" at the App Store? Other than being a reminder for birthdays or events, this app can also be used to track Malaysian holidays, if you set holidays to our country.

But better still, should you be a frequent traveler overseas, you can also select from a whole list of other countries' holidays, including Singapore, Australia, China, the USA, United Kingdom, and South Africa, to name a few. And it also has a selection of religious events, including Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, and Islamic!

Which is why I don't need to have the holidays bundled into Calendar or Fantastical, but just use Occasions+ instead!

i'll add on to the complain list

1. going to settings must go home screen or a particular screen, not immediately accessible
2. control centre cannot mod (i want to off on location also cannot)
3. why is location services under privacy? why not under wifi / bluetooth / cellular (senseless)
4. why touch id and passcode not under privacy? >.<
5. why no torrent apps allowed? is torrent a banned technology as dictated by apple?
6. when in full screen, notification is so intrusive. cannot be smart a bit and don't have the whole damn banner coming down to block game controls?
7. for those that say no problem with apple apps because curated what nonsense, kuwo with all permissions removed etc etc (fresh install), can still run in the background consuming "usage" time

been reading all your thoughts... while i do agree on some of your points, allow me to address your point no 5.

Why no torrent apps allowed. As we all know, apple is all about copyright (you can hate them but thats why some companies love them so much, no piracy) Just ask anyone, what do you download using torrent software / apps? Then you should get the reason why it's not allowed.

for point 6, i do agree the notification always disturbing especially if you are playing games or watching movies. Thats why sometimes i turn off the notification before that.

But there's a question i would like to ask...

why spend so much to buy a phone that you hate? ( i dont use "dislike" as based on your list, it seems to be you are hating iPhone more than disliking it) Why not just stay with android? It's your money and no one is forcing u to use one.

(btw, I'm using both iOS and Android, not a fanboy of any brand)

i'm neutral and am just pointing out that no platform is perfect and this is my wishlist so to speak. if the discussion here is always about battery, where to buy, what case to get, this thread is going to be as boring as yesterday's news. there are no new user add-able features, no development team except apples and jailbreak is out of the question.

so what else to discuss when its all basically comparing who has longer battery life, who has a nicer case, who has screen protector instead of really thinking and feeling that there are things to be sorted out

What are you looking at? Transparent, ruggedized, or leather, or even something else altogether?

This is the one I'm using and it's quite a nice, transparent case with rubber sides for solid grasp. It's the Spigen Ultra Hybrid and I got the one that is mint color for my iPhone 6 at the MacStudio Live! in Jaya Shopping Center, Petaling Jaya for $69.00. And if I'm not wrong, there's also one for the 6 Plus but I'm not sure what colors are available though.

Anyone here mentioned iOS is perfect? I will give them a good spanking if they do. I am from Galaxy 3 and 4 user. Here is my take:
1) Command center so much room for improvement. I miss toggling off my location when not in used. Then again, I never toggle off anymore bcoz iOS obeys their own settings, unlike android leak battery here leak data there. Always have to go app and data manager to disable.
2) camera is the best and fastest focus I have used. Really point and shoot. Good riddance with S4 camera, regardless of its 16MP. Cannot focus properly, what's the point?
3) battery in 6+ is God send. No more leaks.
4) the share links to other apps feature sucks!!!missed android's sharing here.
5) replaceable battery and sdcard is no longer relevant. Sammy took both away in s6
7) love the global updates released! Android? Unless u using nexus, wait until 6 months also no news. U r lucky if manufacture company still decide to update os after 1 yrs.
8) greater and cheaper , higher quality apps in App Store! Together with family sharing, I am now even buying albums to share with family members.
9) very minimal configuration compared to android. But it's a good point for me. Less headache to support for corporate company. If don't like, just JB.
10) lag? Don't feel it anymore after 8.1.3. In 8.1.2 still lag. Sammy in the other hand so full of bloat wares that leak processing cycle that it lags.
11) notification? Just select the banner where it will only pop up as a status bar on top screen. For me, I turn off most notification except whatsapp.
12) security? I definitely trust iOS more than android due to junk ware and too little updates too late. U try post a security breach in he news and see how fast Apple come out with patch. Android reported security flaws like go into black hole.

I can go on and on. But as u can see, iOS also has many cons over android. No os is perfect. Just which one has more advantage over the other.

A company has the right to forecast how the users are going to use their products. If they think most will use torrent app to download copyright contents, they will probably refuse to allows the use of the app in the ecosystem. And I'm sure you also read that some torrent files are doubtful file, Apple might also consider the security risk. I dont speak on behalf of Apple but this is what I will think of. I rather have a safe ecosystem for my users than allowing security risks on it. Anyway, if people really wanna use torrent app that badly, they wont even consider buying an Apple device.

As for other discussion, if there's nothing to discuss, then can continue to read only or stop following. I stopped following few threads as I do not have anything else to contribute.

Agreed. No device is perfect. If there is, then there wont be any new gadgets anymore.

i agreed on this. not only for smartphones. but for computers too in certain company with high policy and compliance. im quite pity for user too but then how can i say. policy is always policy and compliance always compliance which we unable to change until the company itself do the changes.
