QUOTE(xpole @ Mar 5 2015, 11:21 AM) RUMOUR: NEXT GEN IPHONE WILL HAVE 2GB RAM, FORCE TOUCH AND APPLE SIM It’s been about half a year since Apple launched the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and if you’re already sick of those devices, here’s something you might look forward to. The next generation iPhone is reported to sport 2GB of RAM, Force Touch and interestingly, Apple SIM.According to AppleInsider, the next generation iPhone should be the iPhone 6s, meaning that it will only receive upgrades on the inside while the exterior will remain exactly the same. There should also be a Plus version too, which will also feature similar hardware under a larger display. The report from AppleInsider goes on to say that their sources are saying that Apple is considering shipping the Apple SIM inside its next generation iPhone(s). Apple SIM, which debuted in the iPad Air 2, allows consumers to sign up to any carrier directly from the Settings app, and switch whenever they want. Sadly though, the feature is not available in Malaysia – imagine the freedom it’ll give users. It’s a strange move though and I’m sure their local carriers will not be happy about that because with Apple SIM, these carriers would lose all their contract customers. Finally, Appleinsider also says that Apple is considering the use of Force Touch for its next iPhone(s). They did not mention how things would work, but imagine something similar to Force Touch on the Apple Watch, which, should be launched in less than 5 days!http://www.lowyat.net/2015/03/rumour-next-...-and-apple-sim/ Proves a point more ram is needed no matter how well and optimized the OS is.

QUOTE(tutuyao @ Mar 5 2015, 11:31 AM) why dont grab from SenQ or Sen Heng? i always tell ppl to get it from them.. reason being they provide extra 1 year warranty service and 1-1 exchange no question ask within 1st year warranty. second year warranty depends on the damage of the phone. 1. no stock 2. lazada price cheaper + extra 10% discount QUOTE(zaxxshoxx @ Mar 5 2015, 12:31 PM) iPhone6 plus 64GB reporting in welcome! what color?

I skipped the "S" versions, i.e. 4S, 5S, so my upgrade cycle is once in two years. Also the article started by saying it's been 6 months since the phone was launched - some of us here just got it a month or two ago!

QUOTE(Ch3n_low @ Mar 5 2015, 12:28 PM) iOS always runs smoother than android with lower RAM and only dual core processor If you read my statement again, Android was never mentioned, neither did I compare IOS with android. What I wanted to say was more ram is needed for IOS to run better and more efficiently.

If it's a manufacturer's defect, you can make a warranty claim actually. But just bring it back to the shop first and see what they tell you then! This post has been edited by THTgadgets.com: Mar 5 2015, 05:40 PM

Well, I was using an iPod touch all this while, accompanied by two prior Samsung phones. But since I dropped Samsung for the iPhone 5, I have also changed it to the iPhone 6, with no plans to upgrade for now as the 6 has what I want thus far - great camera, nice screen size, perfect in pocket!

I went from iPhone 4 to 5, then had a one year affair with Android (Note 3) and have now returned to iOS. The thing that got me to switch was bigger screen and bigger battery. 6 Plus solved both issues so now I'm a happy camper. Oh, and speaking about iPods, I upgraded my 5th gen iPod Touch to iOS 8 and it's really laggy now, ha ha...
