Yup, there are so many iPhones in Apple South Asia's warehouse in Yio Chu Kang, SG and out of the thousands kept there, there will surely be a small few with defects. Hopefully nobody is the unlucky one that hits such a negative "jackpot"!

My sister's 4S which was bought from online had issue earlier and just sent in at the centre in Berjaya Mall (opposite of Times Square) and replaced her a refurbished unit, that time she was at her 11th month of warranty. thumbup.gif

Oh, so they do have their partner-resellers who can do such one-on-one exchanges then!

And I thought everything has to be done solely via the online method, with a courier guy picking it up from your place and sending the replacement later. biggrin.gif

But good luck if after 7 days. They direct u to local reseller service center.
But if within 7 days(some say 5), no questions asked. They ask u email them a photo and they send courier come collect.

My sister did call the hotline and they advised her to do that instead. Well, it was a 4S so it is like at least 3 years ago, cannot recall the exact thing anymore. tongue.gif I just remembered her phone was sent in to a centre and got it replaced in the end.
She dropped her phone and the earpiece got conked and they replaced it eventually. tongue.gif

Another issue to take note, when you go and collect your phone, make sure its from an unsealed box like when you were buying new and insist they unseal for you on the spot. Do not accept if they give a a seed unit. A seed unit will come sealed too in a small box containing only the phone with is serial number sticker on the box.

Nope, you can send your Apple Store units back to authorized Apple service centres for warranties and repairs. I just got my Singapore Apple Store unit bought during launching at Singapore during September replaced 2 weeks ago by Mac City. thumbup.gif

Now i email to them, i tell them i will not take the iphone at Sunway. I want to take at the nearest machine from my office. Just want to make them susah..

yes, i will make it viral. Since i just become stupid dumbass yesterday. Just like begging for the warranty which the fault is not done by me. Seriously i cannot accept that.

Buy at outlet, found defect, they ask to go to service centre. Go to service centre, they say refer back to outlet. Go back to outlet at the same day(during my working time(ponteng)), the manager say he cannot do anything. Cannot refund and cannot exchange the phone. I tell the manger directly. It is very unfair to customer. And I walking back home and cannot stop thinking about this things. I cannot do my work, because i think i being cheated that pay RM3598 and get a defect product?

Do u know how does it feel?

Yes, I do understand how you feel. But I think it was sufficient to get the tribunal involved & perhaps your police report shouldn't have mentioned that you want the bank to block the payment. By now, the payment you made thru your credit card would've been debited to their account already & you are already liable. You can dispute but they got the money already.

My point is, if anyone can just buy anything thru their CC then make a dispute, you think shops will wanna accept CC as a form of payment anymore?

i call UOB bank already before i make police report. They say they still can hold the money after i make police report and fax to them..

Thats still dont feels good. You bought a new phone and it is faulty and they give you a refurbished set.
This happened to my iphone 5, I had exchanged for 3 times because I got the new phone with scratches and dead pixels.

Not on my phone but the exposure will get darker with slo mo 240fps
